I am kind of a melancholy person, and gravitate towards dark art, but like you, I have to break it up with happy bright colors. Are usually have one of each canvas going at the same time so I can take a break. I keep a smaller canvas in the living room so I can diamond paint in the same room with my hubby. The larger ones I keep at the kitchen nook table, but it’s separated, so I usually listen to podcasts, audiobooks, etc. while I’m in there. I’m so happy you’re feeling better.❤

Thats a good idea I used to do that have one dark and one bright painting going at once now I kinda do one square and one round. Its nice to have a few crafting areas!

Yes all new kits will eventually have this. Recent restocks seem to have it as well. They had been working on it behind the scenes. Merry Christmas to you too!

Nice video! The new cover is thicker than the prior plastic indeed. I can say using a straight edge ( a credit card works, or a ruler) helps tear properly. Ser you in the next one!! 🎉

Hi Sheryl! Nice to see you here 😀 Good I am not crazy I thought it was thicker. Good idea about the credit card!

Enjoyed the review of the painting and perforation reveal. I haven’t seen it until now. So sorry you are feeling poorly and I hope you recover some what before the holiday. The stress can really activate conditions too so try not to push it too much. Thank you for sharing. Peace and love abide with you 💕

Thank you for an amazing video. When I saw this artwork I though it was gorgeous, but did not think I want to work on it ..... Until I saw your video! This is absolutely stunning and it is definitely going on my wishlist.
I am also excited for the perforated plastic. The blocks is a perfect size for me and I think I might still use my cover minders to hold the square back till I finish working on it and then I will remove the piece once I am done with that square. Will have to see 😜 At least I won't have to cut the plastic anymore 😁

Thanks Catharina! Thats a smart idea just incase you dont finish the whole square in one sitting

Hello!🤗 Feel better soon. Thank-you for the unboxing. Although dark in tone, I get an underlying sense of hope despite the clutches/enshrowding despair. Light and dark are interconnected and convey a sense of balance. Incredible kit...excellent.😍

    Hi Alysa.
Thank you for showing us the perforation of the plastic sheet. I was curious about the thickness and how easy it would be to tear, the section sizes etc.
This kit was not on my radar at all but now it is on my wishlist. Thanks Alysa. 😅

Thank you for sharing! This is the first time I’ve seen the perforated cover sheet. I think I will like it! I do like the cute cover minders but rarely use them because I worry my dogs could swallow a magnet 😮.

Great video and thorough, clear explanation, Alysa! I’m glad you’re feeling well enough to do little bits and continue to check in with your followers. I appreciated this video about the perforated plastic cover even if the artwork isn’t something that’s my personal taste. I hope you have a great rest of your weekend. ❤

Thanks so much Alysa. This is such a pretty image even though a little darker. I love the art but like you I have to have some color to offset all those neutrals so I usually have 2 on the go for that. Thanks for showing the perforated plastic...I have been so curious. It looks pretty good and hope to get to try it out soon. Have a great week!

  • @sylviakanel9766

Very interesting. Thank you, Alysa! It seems you aren't forced to use the perforations so that's good for people who would like to manage their space their own way. I use baker's parchment but I'd give the perforations a try instead, before removing the plastic as I usually do. It looks like it would work quite well.💖

Thanks Sylvia! Yes I am going to give it a try instead of my usual method of release papers. I think I will like it!

Although I respect the artist and the artwork, never would I ever do this canvas….not a fan of darker images, personally. I gravitate to brighter cool colors….not a fan of warm neutrals regardless of the image. I’m interested in your thoughts on the perforated covers. I am working on my first one and keep talking myself in and out of liking it. Hope you are feeling better.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I ended up destashing this one due to all the dark colours too. I forgot I dont enjoy them as much anymore. I am liking the perforated cover. Ive worked on a couple canvases with them. I hope they upgrade it soon making the perforations more visible thats the only thing I dislike. But otherwise I think they work fine.
