Agree. I feel first C tier. He’s the reason why I stopped watching American Dad. Stan Smith is a self and arrogant narcissist and a coward. Not to mention the biggest hypocrite and the true definition of a narcissist. He’s also a horrible husband by putting Francine in harms way for his own selfish benefit or just to prove a point. How does Francine not divorce him especially after brainwashing the entire family into giving him Father’s Day gifts for six months just for being too picky and saying those hurtful things with no remorse. He makes Homer and Peter look like saints especially in the earlier seasons.
Homer is my favoritest funniest og cartoon dad of all time, while Cleveland is my second favorite cartoon dad, but he's a more mature father than Peter was
You forgot Barney Rubble from the Flintstones, George Jetson from th eJetson's and, Pete from Goof Troop. Not to mention all kinds of fathers from Disney.
26:35 Well to be fair this was a common punishment back in the day I think it was the only one he had to draw on but I think it was too late when we found out that had the opposite effect as for Peter it was just a random dumb thing he forced on Chris for something else
That is most likely the case sometimes, even evidented in the simpson movie's first half where Homer strangled Bart because Homer accidentally hit himself in the eye making Bart making fun of him for that when he tried to reshingle the roof, despite how incompetent or moronic Homer is
I wish Iroh was my dad/father. As it turns out, my adoptive parents are just awful, as they get mad over nothing and acts like only they're right and everyone else is wrong. My dad doesn't even know the laws, as he constantly breaks literally every f*cking rule and law ever, because he thinks laws and rules doesn't apply to him. If given the chance, my dad would murder a cop in full sight of everyone around him. Basically, my parents are toxic parents. My biological parents couldn't take care of me, as my biological dad was in jail, and my mom simply weren't able to tale care of me. My biological parents allowed my adoptive parents to adopt me only because my adoptive dad was a champion in several championships where he trained cop dogs. I have a lot of childhood trauma, because of depression over a bad joke, and because my adoptive parents at best was neglectful and just abusive at worst, where they hit me and my sisters over nothing. To say that my relation with my adoptive parents are strained at best, and just non-existent at worst is to put it lightly. Like i said, i have a lot of childhood trauma, because of my adoptive parents, and i never really got over said childhood trauma, because my parents keeps reminding me of my childhood trauma, they continue to cause trauma and neglect whenever they get the chance to. I do want to report them to the cops and authorities, i just need a bit more time and evidence, or whatever you call it. It's a bit hard to distance yourself when you're being forced to work for the people who made your life miserable. Because of my autism and ADHD, i can't really get a job, i'm instead told to get daily activities, where i pretty much get treated worse than trash
Should have added: Beef Tobin (The Great North), Dexter’s dad(Dexter’s Laboratory), Jake the dog(Adventure Time), Fire King(Adventure Time) basically all the dads from Adventure Time,
Monty uno from kids next door should have been on the S tier list. He always tries to spend time with numbuh 1 and apologizes to him for basically nothing at all. His greatest moment has to be in operation zero where it’s revealed he’s the legendary numbuh zero who save the world from grandfather and he did it again even sacrificing his own memories as a kids next door operative so he can focus on being a good father to numbuh 1. I would even go as far to say he’s the predecessor to bandit heeler as the best cartoon dad.
Bandit should've been at least 2nd place like Chilli. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, Jake Morgandorffer & Lawrence Fletcher are 3 notable absences from the list.
Iroh really was the greatest dad for Zuko. Iroh lost his own son, but gained another in Zuko. No matter what, he was always there to help Zuko to stay on the right path. Which is more than what could be said about Ozai. Fitting that Ozai is at the bottom of the list while Iroh is at the top.
you forgot to mention all the times cosmo dropped peri (including once off the Grand Canyon) yeah peri wouldn’t get hurt cuz he’s a fairy but still. if he’s able to remember Vicky to adulthood from when he was a baby then he can probably remember all the times his dad dropped him on his face
In the animated movie “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron” (2002), the meaningful antagonists are embodied by humans who characterize different challenges to Spirit and his herd. While the film doesn’t explicitly link its villains to the seven deadly sins, thematic breakdown can attract similarities: 1. The Colonel (representing Pride and Wrath)- • Pride🤴: The Colonel embodies a boastful opinion of the hegemony of humans over nature and a fondness for conquering and taming wild animals. • Wrath😈: His ruthless purpose of Spirit, using force and aggression to shatter his heart, holds rebellious anger and intolerance for antagonism. 2. The Railroad Builders (representing Greed and Envy)- • Greed🤑: The builders embody industrial development and the exploitation of natural resources for gain, showing disinterest in the well-being of the atmosphere and its residents. • Envy🤬: Their passion to dominate the animalistic ground can be seen as a jealousy of the hegemony and greatness embodied by Spirit and his herd. 3. Human Captors (representing Sloth and Gluttony indirectly): • Sloth🦥: The captors, by trying to domesticate and manipulate Spirit rather than understanding and respecting him, show indolence in their strategy to nature-seeking the easiest path to control rather than a cooperative concurrency. • Gluttony😋: While not directly represented, the broader industrial actions can be seen as selfish, reflecting the consumption of resources without contemplation for sustainability or harmony. 4. The Cavalry (representing Lust indirectly): • Lust💋: Not in the classic sense of sexual passion, but rather a lust for leadership and hegemony. The cavalry’s actions to shatter Spirit and use him for their significance can be seen as an extreme and nasty fondness for power.

It really says a lot about Avatar when it simultaneously takes the bottom of the barrel and the crème de la crème in terms of cartoon father figures… and both of them had the same son.
(Spoiler for Rick and Morty) Actually, you have to remember that this Rick isn’t the Rick that abandoned the family. It was Rick Prime. This Rick’s Beth and wife dies at the hands of Rick Prime when Beth was a child, and Rick spend the next few decades of the current Beth’s life trying to track him down before crashing into the garage and meeting Beth when Morty was still a baby. Not to say that he’s any better than most of the dads, but he didn’t abandon the other Beth. Also, he mentioned to the clone of his dead wife that he isn’t the man she married specifically because he lost her. So initially, he wasn’t just a good husband, but a good dad.

Happy Father's Day, everyone! There's so many Cartoon Dads! Whether they are good or bad, they are still going to celebrate Father's Day! Also I know Lucifer, Stolas, Joe, and Blitz tried to be good fathers to their daughters, which is Charlie, Octavia, Millie, Sallie May, and Loona! But Crimson, Cash Buckzo, and Paimon are just terrible fathers to their sons. So neglectful and abusive.🤩😊😬😑
Why D and not F?

No. Stan should be in the D tier. No matter how good intention he still put his family through horrible situations. The episode hurricane is a perfect example. I'd honestly put him behind Peter.
What about all the apocalyptic episodes where he literally sacrifices everything to find them or save them?
@jazzyqueen4980 those are all alternate universe or timeliness. Canonical Stan is still has done horrible things to his family. Even when he says he's learning his lesson. He shouldn't haft to learn it in the first place.
@@TTastic-pb5nt that's literally what character growth and character flaws are, especially in a comedic cartoon. He's a lot more better as a person now than he was in his early version of the show, and even then he did things with good intentions
@@jazzyqueen4980 I'm sorry but no. I'd say he's gotten worse overtime. He literally altered his whole family's DNA because he thought they were losers. Here's an oddball one in the gray area Kazan Yamaoka. He is a homicidal killer with anger issues but he cares about his son, but still, and when his son broke his leg he blamed his friends and is implied to have killed them and their families
I would have placed Stan in the lower D because the bad outweighs the good for him as he puts everyone in his family in jeopardy
Yet you clearly should have known, what they mentioned, he also has more redeemable moments than his own father

How is Homer Simpson strangling his child not physical abuse?
He only strangles Bart if he does something to deserve it.

I’m sorry to hear that.

In the animated movie “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron” (2002), the meaningful antagonists are embodied by humans who characterize different challenges to Spirit and his herd. While the film doesn’t explicitly link its villains to the seven deadly sins, thematic breakdown can attract similarities:
1. The Colonel (representing Pride and Wrath)-
• Pride🤴: The Colonel embodies a boastful opinion of the hegemony of humans over nature and a fondness for conquering and taming wild animals.
• Wrath😈: His ruthless purpose of Spirit, using force and aggression to shatter his heart, holds rebellious anger and intolerance for antagonism.
2. The Railroad Builders (representing Greed and Envy)-
• Greed🤑: The builders embody industrial development and the exploitation of natural resources for gain, showing disinterest in the well-being of the atmosphere and its residents.
• Envy🤬: Their passion to dominate the animalistic ground can be seen as a jealousy of the hegemony and greatness embodied by Spirit and his herd.
3. Human Captors (representing Sloth and Gluttony indirectly):
• Sloth🦥: The captors, by trying to domesticate and manipulate Spirit rather than understanding and respecting him, show indolence in their strategy to nature-seeking the easiest path to control rather than a cooperative concurrency.
• Gluttony😋: While not directly represented, the broader industrial actions can be seen as selfish, reflecting the consumption of resources without contemplation for sustainability or harmony.
4. The Cavalry (representing Lust indirectly):
• Lust💋: Not in the classic sense of sexual passion, but rather a lust for leadership and hegemony. The cavalry’s actions to shatter Spirit and use him for their significance can be seen as an extreme and nasty fondness for power.

(Spoiler for Rick and Morty)
Actually, you have to remember that this Rick isn’t the Rick that abandoned the family.
