Did you completely drain the fluid before you disconnected the thermostat or just catch the fluid that came out after you disconnected the thermostat?

Thanks for tuning in and the question. I only drained about half the fluid. You can just catch what comes out, but it will be a good amount. You will also have some come out of the engine when you remove the thermostat.
