- April 2021: V3Cars reviews which variant of the Skoda Rapid makes the most sense for buyers in terms of the value it offers for the money you pay. The Rapid is available with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine with a manual and torque converter type automatic transmission. Skoda Rapid is offered in 6 variants, Rider, Rider Plus, Ambition, Onyx, Style and Monte Carlo. Rider variant is not available with automatic transmission. Rapid’s price starts at Rs 7.79 lakh for the base Rider variant and its top manual variant, Monte Carlo, is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Rapid Automatic starts at Rs 9.69 lakh for Rider Plus variant and its top automatic variant, Monte Carlo is priced at Rs 13.29 lakh.

Small correction: In Monte Carlo we don’t get dual tone alloys now. It’s just the same as onyx. All black
True but the style of alloys are different, it is called Stratos and the one that you get in Onyx are called Clubber.

Earlier rider used to be value for money variant for 7 lacs. But now buying a skoda car, when it’s almost as pricier as Maruti doesn’t make sense.
Look at the difference in the price was marginal upgrades and then say our sales are low. Indian customers always look at the value for money cars. So the gap in price is not justified.

The Major issue with SKODA is their Dealership they really LOOT you in the name of service and spare parts.. thats why they dont sell. Cars are best but dealership is Worse,,,
Rider has been discontinued according to the dealerships.
It was discontinued for a while but now again has been re introduced.
