Great result Lee. The residents must be very happy to see the grounds looking so much better and level. They can walk on the pavements without dodging the bushes now. That ivy is a menace. Once it gets in the roof it will do so much damage, had it in my garage and it lifted woodwork and strangled the gutter clips. Personally, I would take it down to the same height as the hedges in the winter. Lovely job. 😄
Lovely job chap! I enjoy hedgecutting, but find the big ones really tiring these days. Did a big one a couple of weeks ago, was about 15ft high, 120ft long, and 8ft wide. Absolutely knackered me out!
I’ve watched this from the beginning and how you’ve transformed the seriously neglected hedges to something of great beauty, has been amazing Lee. The residents and you must be so happy. Pity some of the residents are parking so close to the hedges, making maintenance difficult. This is superb Lee and thank you so much for sharing with us, much appreciated 👍💎👍💎👍
As time goes by they will get squarer and squarer. Eventually they will become even more striking and healthier. All the neighbors and residents will talk about you.
Wow Lee that has really come on since you took it over those hedges are looking great but see the issue getting in for you, so think you right cutting them back as the other is would look great What a lovely place it looks so peaceful there Keep doing the great work you do Lee look forward to watching it transform into s stunning place
we are doing a simlar job at some ALMS houses, the holly hedge is a bit slanted and its getting higher and higher, sometimes you just have to cut in hard to keep them nice and tight, although for us it would have been better to do this during winter so this time of year we can trim, but as we have had multiple requests, well...neeeds must, nice job matey, they look awsome
Hi Lee, What a big difference you have given the residents there garden back,it looks really nice.. You must be pleased now with how its beginning to take shape, and only going to get better.. Its going to be your pride and joy, especially as you have created it.. Its a big job to take on,even on a maintenance level... Congratulations to you....😊
Mate, I just got a HLA56 battery cutter and I'm impressed, batteries go a long way and so much better for weight and vibration. I was getting serious numbness and pins and needles from using my long reach for big jobs, my arteries are screwed, but if you're starting to get issues as we're getting older, try one, see what you think. You can get an extra half meter extension on them to help with the reach as well.
@Timmy51m cheers buddy ..thank you for looking after my poor body 😀... not interested in battery stuff to be honest.. if you are getting problems from petrol then yeah you've done the right thing..just not for me ...YET..
Looks 100x better than earlier in the year Lee, do you still look after the flats where there was one always moaning about the noise of the machinery ?
Mint job mate 👍 A hate ivy with a passion a was on a job where it was all mature wrapped in wire fencing.... who does that to build a garden boarder 😅, 2 days it took mate, bolt cutters the lot haha.
I saw a video from a few years ago I think. I am wondering what tool was used to cut pack a pyracantha hedge. I inherited one and we have shortage of gardeners so hope to do myself. Can you recommend. Female pensioner but super fit for gardening work :) My everyday hedge cutter ends up with bits of the hardwood sticking in the blade so takes ages to destick and get on with it.
A transformation! An artist who works 😊
