Orchards Planning and Planting Workshop at Birdwood, Gloucestershire

As part of our Severn Treescapes project, 🌳 we've launched the first three in a new series of free workshops to learn how to plant and manage your orchard. 🍎 The workshop was held at Huntly Village Hall on 18th January 2024, and the participants were able to practice planting on private land in Birdwood.
This workshop is part of our Severn Treescapes: Orchards Through the Seasons project funded by Farming in Protected Landscapes grant, with thanks to Wye Valley National Landscape.
The project being led by us, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and funded by the Trees Call To Action fund. The fund was developed by Defra in partnership with the Forestry Commission and is being delivered by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Match funding provided by Gloucestershire County Council, Herefordshire County Council, Worcestershire County Council and Severn Trent. Additional support provided by the Environment Agency and Ourboretum.
