Hi Nicky, I'm wondering-- could you make the audio clip last as long as your video? Is that possible? I saw you demonstrate how to shorten it, but not how to lengthen it. Thank you. I play piano and am thinking about just recording my own audio music for my videos-- but not sure I could get a good quality.
I thank you so much for this video. I'm starting a UA-cam channel myself and I was looking for accurate information. You don't know how much this has helped me understand how to apply music without dealing with copyright strikes. God Bless You!
Do you think when i download the music (CC license) and use it when editing my video in my program, youtube will recognize the track anyway when i upload it? I wanted to edit it in the original export and cut up the music slightly, i only need certain parts of the track. So i wonder if i do this if there will be no problem + of course i'd credit it correctly.
Hi Nicky, thank you for discuss the music copyright issues. I was hesitating to sign up for Epidemic Sound. I am under the impression that with Epidemic Sound, as long as I am a member and paying the monthly fees, I am free to use the music on the site. However, what happens if one day in the future I decided to discontinue with the membership, what happens with my old videos? Am I still covered? Are you able to answer this question or anyone in the community has an answer?
Hello lovely, thanks for your question about Epidemic Sound. It's a very good question! If you subscribe to ES and you use a music or sound track in one of your videos, provided you had a valid subscription at the time it doesn't matter if you then cancel your subscription. Does that make sense?
The video is comprehensible and helpful. Thank you to the creator. However, may you kindly answer this question? • Since the tracks are available for download, can I download one and apply onto the video by using other video editor and still paste the attribution in description box when uploading it? In this case, will I get copyrighted or not?
This is a direct quotation from the UA-cam Music Library channel, "All the music in this channel can be used and monetized on UA-cam. If you need a song to use in a project out of UA-cam then use only the songs licensed under a Creative Commons license. Check the author's website to be sure there are no additional restrictions."
Question about an Epidemic subscription tho: So say I make a 100 videos over the course of a 3 month subscription using their music in the background. What happens when I cancel my subscription with them? Do I have to remove the music from all those videos? I'm looking for copyright free, "one and done," type music... Not a subscription. Any ideas? Thank you. -PJ
No, provided you have a valid ES subscription at the time of creating your videos, you don't have to remove the music if you cancel your subscription. If you don't want a paid plan for music, try UA-cam's own library of music 🎶
Hello, I would like to ask, can I download a track from the audio library and add to my video in my editor program , I mean while editing the video or only as You showed it in this video . Thanks a lot.
No, you must use the music in UA-cam's music library in your UA-cam videos only. If you want to use music outside of UA-cam, you can try Epidemic Sound for free for 30 days using my link --> bit.ly/NickyFreeES 🎶. I use Epidemic Sound in all my videos 🙂
@NickyPasquier I mean for youtube, but can I add the audio for library as you told , or I can download and add to my editor program while editing the video and then upload it to UA-cam . Thanks for help.
@elenikar9028 hmm, I don't see why not if the video is for UA-cam. You might want to ensure the audio isn't altered in any way, it might just make a difference.
I like the audio library music but didn't realise it wasn't all free from those copyright rules .. I assumed as it was in the library it was just ok to use? I also use music from my video editor on my phone and assumed that was royalty free also 🤷♀️... Thank you .. this was very useful 😊
It's surprising how many video editing tools have music in their libraries but don't actually tell users that some of it might not be copyright free! I'm glad you're aware of these issues now - nobody likes copyright strikes!
@@NickyPasquier hello if you read it it says make a song out of it in other words take the music and create a song from it thanks sing with it then release it as a song thanks
No, they're for use on UA-cam only I'm afraid. If you're looking for royalty free music, you can take a look at Epidemic Sound, which I use. You can get a free 30-day trial here --> bit.ly/NickyFreeES. Hope that helps 🙂
It's so important to know if you're using music in videos. One lady I know did a yoga class with some background music playing quietly. She got a warning from YT!
HI Nicky. Thanks for this video. Actually, what i really wanted to know is that if you can use the UA-cam Audio Library tracks outside of UA-cam (which i think was answered on your video) AND monetize them too. Because i used them for some FB reels that i made for my FB page with the intent of getting the reels monetized eventually. The tracks that i used though were the ones that don't require attribution. Do you have any idea if these tracks - the ones that don't require attribution - are actually in the Public Domain? Because i read in an online blog that they are. I don't know if the blog is correct in saying that. But if they are, then i won't have any problems monetizing my reels on FB. Thanks.
Hi there, thanks for your question. I'm afraid I really can't advise you on this topic. It might be worth doing a Google search to find your answer. If you want to be absolutely sure you're not infringing copyright & have total peace of mind I'd subscribe to something like Epidemic Sound. They have a huge library of music. I think I gave you a link in this video description to a free trial with ES 🎶
@@NickyPasquier Thanks for your reply. I forgot to mention that i really don't have the extra budget right now for Epidemic or other sound providers. So i can really only use Public Domain stuff. I have actually started using now the tracks from the FB Sound Collection which are safe to use for FB and IG. However, i have already posted about 15 reels using music from the UA-cam Audio Library (ones that don't require attribution) and so i am wondering if those reels can be monetized on FB in the future.

@NickyPasquier okay, thank you so much!
Thanks for the video! Is there any changes in using the UA-cam audio library on monetized videos since the new Creator's music feature?
That's not yet been rolled out in the UK so unsure about that. But always check the licence terms, that's my best advice.
@@NickyPasquier Thanks!

You need to contact UA-cam support and ask them.

So what do we do if we get calm when we use UA-cam music.
If you use music properly, then you won't get a copyright claim.
