Love the new design of the Emira. I’m on the list!! 992 GT3 is just fugly, and I am a real yellow fanboy. I suppose it is functional, and a great track toy but no interest in having that in my garage as a fun weekend car.
Thanks for the nice video and all the details. Was nice to see the interior to see how they spec'd out the release car. Hardest part about being a future owner is figuring out which way to spec it - it's beautiful in so many colors/options. I already have certain options locked in, others still figuring out :)
What are you going for? Wish the blue was more like that of the ferrari 488/f8 or alpine a110. The red makes it look like a mini ferrari. The green is more subdued and classy but less sporty. Not liking the grey yet . Yellow look good but too loud for me.
@@Jay-xr3sb well, I'm definitely getting yellow brake calipers, have a dozen configurations I like :) I'll definitely be swayed when I get more info about pricing, which items are "First Edition" only and will never be available again, etc. Then build around those constraints. Given that this isn't going to be a daily, I want it to be loud and stand out. However, agree with you about that green, just beautiful and classy with yellow everything else and tan interior.
@@brois841 I hear you, the tan leather looks great with green and red paint in particular. I'd pick the black roof with any of the louder colours. The grey seems to hide its lines. I'm in the uk and dreaming at the moment. I wanted the a110 for its lightness and it seems cost effective for me. The only thing is the looks of the front at too soft. Now this throws a spanner in the works. I want to hear how the thing drives. Are you going for the V6 manual or 4cl?
@@Jay-xr3sb completely agree with you about colors. Brighter colors = black roof. Shadow gray hides everything... Nimbus gray though? Looks interesting. I'm in the US, we don't have the cars you're talking about here. I flip back every day about AMG DCT and manual V6 SC. Most likely the V6.... MAYBE? :) Need to see real specs for everything. Just this morning we had confirmation the V6 will be 416hp, not the 400 in the press release. I expect the M139 AMG engine to have a few more extra ponies as well, otherwise it's seriously detuned from what's in the A45.
Don’t think it’ll be that powerful. IMO it’s not all about power. Let’s see how it drives and feels. It does come across more “touring” than previous Lotus.

Is the new level of sports car. The a110, cayman, M2 all do around 4.5 secs. They can also be daily drivers where a supercar isn't. That used to be supercar level, but now that in 3's or even sub 2. Besides, it's all in the handling, a tesla can destroy most but it can't corner at all.
@@mrpmj00 I'm not saying the telsa is a sports car. I'm saying that yesterdays supercar performance is today's sports car performance. In the US is all about straight lines and acceleration, in Europe its more handling and EU emissions caps making C8s and the like less attractive. The tesla issue is different, you can't beat the instant power and straight-line performance of the plaid in anything that costs the same or less but I agree I fails elsewhere. But then the model S isn't a dedicated sports car, its a saloon that can out run supercars. 180mph? Nobody get that fast off a race track. The a110 plus a model 3 with long range makes more sense in Europe. The C8 and gt500 mustangs in the US, but the model S still laughs at you at the traffic lights. The Tycan has already blown away the tesla in terms of handling. The near future is hybrid sports/super cars. They will have the drama of an ICE with no lag. See the McClaren Atura or the ferrari 296 gtb. After that it's all electric, ice will look and sound like old noisy tech. A hobby, vintage, for collectors.

Car looks good need at least 450 HP they are robbing us with power.
The Evora had 450 HP and it could have handled more.

It’ll be more than looks. Handling should be very good as lotus are masters at this kind of stuff

why do they sat it 'looks so much like a supercar"? it is a supercar. anything that can do 4.5 secs to 60 and over 17o mph in my book is a supercar.
Think nowadays, many performance cars are too powerful that they need electric aids to try to control all the power. May also be the pricing.

The rear is not so good. A mix of Tesla Roadster and Porsche. The front is pretty good but a bit soft. A good design but not amazing.
