- In this breakout session from TGC23, Dan Doriani addresses the real concern of churches devastated by bullying, immorality, and narcissism at the hands of pastors. But he also addresses the challenges facing pastors as they endure disapproval, opposition, foot-dragging, sabotage, and whisper campaigns.
He challenges pastors to cultivate humility, seek God's wisdom and mercy, and embrace servanthood while fostering appropriate confidence and resilience in their calling to pastoral ministry.

Healthy Topic.
This is a totally different interpretation of binding and loosing (Matthew 18) then Leeman's understanding which refers to church discipline.
Is that so extraordinary or outrageous?
@@Vic82toire , no, but when someone makes such a confident claim of understanding a text (not saying this guy or that guy) I am baffled to see different interpretations by solid guys.
@@justinwhelchel20which one do you think is closer to being right?
@@HearGodsWord, from the context Leeman's interpretation.
@justinwhelchel20 thanks for the reply. I'll see if I can chew other both of them 👍
Without love you are annoying and irritating just like a clanging cymbal.
I think the problem arises when pastors lecture/preach at people without first showing love.
Jesus went to the people and had compassion first. He fed them and He healed them and then He told them to go and sin no more. With most preachers it is the opposite.
