Like WP I tend to paint toward the "Fisher Price" style: they have helmets, so nope no eyes lol. I started with plastics and am finding it difficult to appreciate the assembly of metal. Not a fan of metals so far. The need for more tools, different glue, and I'm seeing less quality in the sculpts. So not a fan of metals yet. Drop more names of other companies or please list them in the comments. I'm interested in other sources.
Manufacturers. Warlord games epic. ACW, ECW I may buy as I can purchase locally. Their Napoleonics is a hard no from me. I don't see the point in spending a lot of money on a line that is not complete. I also don't like that the minor nations at Waterloo were not done. I just can't justify buying extra sets or sprue to do head swaps to create a unit. And it doesn't look that the rest of the Napoleonics era will be covered anytime soon. Moving onto their forthcoming Epic Hail Cesar. Another hard pass as Cromarty forge miniatures fulfill my requirements. Around $6usd for a STL file is a bargain. I've bought the 15mm Carthagian Elephants files. 9 Elephant files in total. 3 light, 3 medium, 3 armoured, a variety of howdahs and crew. Bonus as files are available in 10mm and 15mm so you can print at various scales from 6mm to 20mm, possibly 22mm. And the beauty of Cromarty forge is John releases a complete army and the variety of figures is amazing. Guys will drool over the Warlord range but I'm not.
A really interesting video. I don't want to get into politics, but my choice of miniatures is very much influenced by what I can get after Brexit, without waiting for months and months or breaking the bank. In historicals, I have been expanding my metal Footsore and plastic Warlord historical armies with Victrix. My fantasy armies are almost exclusively from Northstar, with some Wargames Atlantic starting to add to the mix. Customization and kitbashing are some of my favourite things in the hobby, so Victrix and Wargames Atlantic are really the two best companies for me, right now.
@@onpatrolpodcast it is. It is near impossible to get some companies, like Perry's, which I really liked. Some will take a couple of months at least, postage and taxes. For example, it takes two months and postage to get something directly from WA. On the other hand, friendly neighborhood shops in the continent have gotten a boost.

thanks so much for the inputs. Shipping can be a huge deciding factor for many wargamers depending where in the world you live. (WP)
