Datruth could be right that the 9th anniversary was the biggest *power creep* ever. The 7th anniversary is in a different realm compared to the rest of the game in terms of the power of the enemies.
They literally had to change leaderskills in order for teams to compete in redzone. The 7th year is a power LEAP. Not creep.
He is objectively wrong though, the stat jump was BIGGER during the 7th year power creep, and by a decent margin too, and the existing characters at the time were much worse compared to the content that dropped. The only way to live a over 1million super was with type advantage essentially, and only some units even with that could do it, during 9th year theres probably upwards of 50 to 80 units that can tank those 3mil supers in the right scenario

5:10 Quite literally making a case for the 7th anniversary power creep being a bigger jump. We can still use a number of units prior to the 9th anniversary in 9th anniversary content. The 7th invalidated way more units to the point where you darn near needed the new LRs to even compete.
Datruth is just wrong on this and im surprised that nearly no one calls him out on it. You can literally prove objectively that he is wrong
The God event was the most difficult event prior to Redzone, those events hit for 600k to 800k damage, and the increase was to 1,2million and 1,5million during Redzone. So thats an average 93% increase in stats
Now lets look at 9th year power creep, the previous difficult events like Fusion zamasu and the goku black redzones, and Trunks and the teq fusion zamasu fight, those stages were hitting between 1,9million and 2,3million damage, and it jumped from that to 3million to 3,6million damage. Calculating it you find that this jump only had a 57% increase in stats then
So first of all, its a LOWER increase in stats than the 7th year jump, but what he also isnt considering too is that the God event was already intended for you to be having TYPE ADVANTAGE as all the fights were just 1 type phase, so the jump to 1,2million and 1,3million type neutral is GIGANTIC, and WITH the dodge cancelling too is INSANE
And all of this is not even talking about how at that time we didnt really have any hyper defensive units that could just tank insane level things in specific scenarios, right now we have tons of units that in niche scenarios can easily tank those 3mil supers or
TLDR; Datruth is just objectively wrong on this, the stats increase jump was bigger during the 7th anniversary, and we also have way better designed characters right now to scale to extremely high numbers making the 9th year jump not even that big, the 7th year jump still is probably the biggest jump of powercreep in dokkan history except for maybe when SBR first dropped

No way Truth said that this year had a larger powercreep jump than the 7th anniversary. The 7th anniversary and forward quite literally made every single leader skill in the game before it completely useless.
There is one thing being ignorant and wrong, it's a whole other story being like that on purpose.
I think the biggest parts is
1. 7th year had a bigger stat increase, it when up by 93%, while 9th year only went up by about 57%
2. The previous difficult event at the time God events numbers at the time were balanced around having type advantage, so the increase WITH going now to type neutral makes the 7th year leap even more gigantic in comparison
3. We had much more simpler units at that time, raw defense numbers, while now we have all these guard and damage reduction characters or one turn of being defensive gods units like Uub and Buu duo for example, so that makes the 9th year jump even less impactful

Jump in quality of units:
7th year had a way bigger jump, prior to 7th year what was considered good defense was like 300k defense
And now normals were doing 450k and supers 1,2million LOL
So units post 7th year began having just as a base-line 500k to 1mil to even more defense, so the raw defense stats essentially doubled, and also they gave a lot more units defensive mechanics like guard and dmg reduction and dodge making them even better
The 9th year jump in terms of TURs has not been even close to as big, Godku for example has 800k to 1mil defense with guard and 60% dodge and still good today, if this was 7th year power creep, the jump would be units having 2,5millionå defense with guard and 60% chance to dodge, and yeah thats not happening right now lol
I don't care if they boost his support or his attack, I just want him to be defensively solid like the other SEZAs. At least 50% dodge and confident defense. I'm sure he will be shooting out 15+ million attack stats. I'm not worried about that aspect.
What’s sad is that I had this kid buu and TUR int kid buu 100% and I got rid of them a year ago 😭😭😭
Give him 90% chance to dodge and we're cool

hes the og goat support, keep him as the new goat support. all allies 2ki and 50% attack and defense. then changes 1 random ki type to phy, and with 3 or more ki spheres obtained guard activated and all allies 7% crit chance. 5 ki spheres get 100% attack and defense and reduces damage received by 40% and allies damage reduced by 7%. plus like 150% attack and defense start of turn, and 100% when performing a super, and another 100% with 5 more ki spheres, recover 15% hp when hit. something like that would make him the goat support for the foreseeable future.

Going by the most recent Majin units, I think he's going to get the "if your team is x number of Majin Power..." and it'll be high damage reduction. Even the banner unit Buutenks got 30% DR. I think he's going to get high DR or very high dodge.

7th year had the biggest power creep, it's just not close. Unless bosses can nuh uh your nuh uh, the 9th will never catch up, Piccolo's giant form and Zamasu's domain cannot even be affected by a boss damage increase, it's gotten stagnant

Bro I’m stoned asf watching this and had an idea for ss3 vegetas EZA. Give him ATK and DEF at start of turn and keep his damage reduction for the 10 turns, but instead of making him go to a straight up lower number, have him lose a certain percent every turn TO that certain number. (i.e if he starts at 80, lose 10 percent a turn (max of 30) so he’s only down to 50)
