Well, Loki was never truly evil. He’s always been a child at heart, the series just gives us more of a look at that side of him. Although I’ll agree I think Marvel overdid it. Loki can be good and childish without acting like an idiot!
He’s been evil before the Avengers movie. And he’s been evil in the comics, too. And in anime and cartoons. I love him as a villain. He’s more fun and more scary that way, in my opinion.

The whole point of the new show is to get in-depth into Loki's character. If you aren't aware, majority of his life was filled with hatred, he masked his true self with a facade. Now that they are breaking down his character, we are able to see him wind down a bit. People have more emotions than anger, people are complex and aren't always going to look "badass." Considering that Loki's mbti type is INFJ, a sensor personality type, he is bound to have a lot of emotions and become vulnerable or defensive when cornered or challenged (in this show it is focusing on vulnerability. Especially with Mobius as he can predict Loki very well). Oh and fun fact, Loki has cried in nearly all the movies he's been in.
@@ddwow566 Everyone has a soft side, he couldn't be as mean or arrogant without his magic. Plus, he literally saw his own mother die in the FIRST episode. Of course he isn't going to be as snotty or sassy. The whole point in the show is to go beyond his arrogance and see his true character.

This is why Loki should be a more sinister character (due to being presumably yet severely tortured by Thanos and permanently influenced by the Mind Stone) to the point that he dies sooner for real in "The Dark World" only once as 'complete monster' and an 'asshole victim' with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. And this is why the sitcom "Loki" should be horror-themed no different than "A Nightmare Of Elm Street", "Child's Play" and "It" and as gritty and disturbing as "Batman Returns" and "Corpse Party"...Loki is a psychotic perverted black-hearted misogynist! As well as to amuse himself he should have ordered the hypnotized Hawkeye to murder his own family. Let's not forget about what he also said to Thor earlier before that: 'When we finish here, I'll going to pay her a visit myself!' which means he was going to torturously screw Jane Foster to death and should done it back in "The Dark World" once he finally meet her.
