Outstanding!!! Mr. Jacomets, thank you for all you do to contribute to the beautiful art. You have inspired me to not just dress better, but to feel better. Vraiment mercy
you can tell many of the work a man has done just by the exquisite way of speaking and how much passion this man has for his work. thanks to hugo jackomet i discovered my passion for sartory and decided to learn this skill at my age (23). if someone has a good book i shall read about this taylored world, please put a comment. thank you sartory talks!
Hi Manuel and I hope you are making progress in the field. Thank you for this meaningful comment from the early days of the channel and cheers to you ! Hugo
I’ve always loved suits. But after watching your videos I’ve become a student on learning how detailed the quality of the suit and how it’s tailored. And of course I can’t forget about Sprezzatura! Thank you Hugo!
Man, this channel is so good, I only discovered it yesterday and I think I've watched 20+ videos. I love the material and the way it's communicated but most of all I love your earnest, polite, calm and serious passion. Thanks for making such educational and personal videos, it's a real pleasure, keep it up.
Thank you . As italian you made me feel reconnect to a warmth and passion and a sense of deep belonging I wasn't even aware of. And I am not even into clothes but what matters is the message . You make me smile from the heart.
Merci du coeur Hugo! I am so touched by your passion and sharing this exquisite Italian heritage of brave artisan’s savoir faire. I am a mixed European: French- Spanish-Italian, my ancestors til now have been small designers and I still own sublime shirts made of fine lace hand crocheted by my great grandmother in Paris during late 1800’s!!!! I love the serenity and thrilling feeling I get when I hand sew my flamenco and Bellydancing costumes. It’s a magical process. That’s why I am always moved to tears when I see so much beauty created with attention to detail and refinement. I admire and get inspired by the Italian humble manners and that yet create masterpieces with such care and freedom! I dream to move to Italy 🇮🇹 and dance of joy!!! Grazie mille!! 🙏🏻
Are you able to wear the piece from the 1800s (??) or is it preserved in safe keeping --- fascinating !! Thank you for your moving and kind message and keep savoring the joy of life. Hugo and Sonya
That's it! I'm a fan! So nice listening to you....even this Englishman can get emotional hearing about Italian tailoring :) Bravo on this series - I'll be watching them all!
Thank you Hugo for creating and publishing a book on Italian tailors. I can appreciate the difficulty you had in choosing which tailor would be represented in this book. I always enjoy your videos and the eloquent manner in which you communicate your knowledge of the trade.
Hugo.. The way you just explain different Italian styles is so comprehensive and easy to understand. Can't wait to get the book and thank you for this video which is still gonna be relevant for more years to come.
I have traveled all over the world and have made many bespoke suits by many different tailors in every country you mention.Italy is a very special magical place for mens bespike tailoring. The Italians truly love the art of dressing well.Im going out today to buy your book. Bravo to you Hugo .You are a passionate and very knowledgeable guy who just gets what dressing for a man is all about.I will follow you with anticipation.
Your story touches the heart and, once again, makes so very clear that the world you are revealing to us is not in the first place about things, however beautiful and well made these may be, about being human. Thank you very much for that.
Hugo, i just arrived here listening different videos of people talking that makes me company while working in the PC. I got trapped by your knowledge and passion in this field. It's really contagious and i find it very interesting as an industrial designer I am. Thank you! and greetings from Argentina
un grand merci Hugo, merci de revenir encore un fois à la simplicité de la belle chose, de la belle pièce et de tous ceux qui l'ont créé. la belleza salvera il mundo
The Real work....not for money not for fame but for sake of setasfaction and profasionalism....great work...respect for your dedication and work..keep it up
Thank you very much for this video. One problem with the US is the emphasis on mass production, bulk sales, and disposable clothing. I look forward to reading your book as a way of opening the door to obtain a glimpse of the craftsmanship only an artisan can create.
I love this channel I remember watching my first episode and you talked frankly how your faith in God propelled you....when you were lost...I myself was at the point in life and I too, came out of the darkness. Well done sir.
Hugo, I very much look forward to getting a copy of this book, particularly so after watching this video. I'd like to say thank you for your continued passion and work in highlighting these wonderful houses and providing consistent, eloquent, sartorial insight. As a seasoned follower of Parisian Gentleman, I have enjoyed witnessing the growth of the site and adjoined community and very much look forward to more Sartorial Talks, more books and the continued growth of Parisian Gentleman. Cheers!
Hi Hugo, I have your Parisian book and I just ordered this one on the Italian Gentleman yesterday. I have been doing my best to learn about men's fashion for the last year and a half! My shirt, tie and shoe collection is getting better! I always look forward to seeing your approach to style and learning from you and your wife. Keep up the great work! A follower from West, Texas.
Monsieur Hugo, a television program wouldn’t be good enough for you! You have far too much class and dignity. You present a difficult subject in a most comprehensive, friendly and accessible manner to man-kind
My compliments Mr. Jacomet to you and your Wife, on all your work and projects on bringing to light💡the forgotten Art/ Science and Lifestyle of living a more Elegant Lifestyle. A person lives with themselves all their lives and they should see too it that they keep good company. I really enjoy your vids and as a former team member at Ermenegildo Zegna, I can resonate with and understand the appreciation and admiration for natural fibers and high quality tailoring.👔👞 Keep up the good work your doing👍 Best regards, -Merci. - Ciao. 👔👞🌹🎨
Hello Angelo and how great that you've had the luck to work with Ermenegildo Zegna, a successful company we have visited a few times. We appreciate your experienced perspective. Thanks so much (and another book will soon be in the works). Ciao ! Hugo
I’m a 66 year old man born in the United States of modest income. I was deeply moved about you talking about your book. Italy is on my bucket list and I can’t wait to visit your beautiful country. I can only dream of wearing the clothes made in your country however I’m in the process of ordering your book. May god bless you and keep the videos coming!
Fantastic video, Mr. Jacomet. And let me say, what an incredible book The Italian Gentleman is--a work of art. Subscribed and looking forward to all future content!
The Italian Gentleman is a wonderful book. Beautifully crafted. Great writing/design/photography. My wife got it for me for Christmas (along with G Bruce Boyer's "True Style") Thank you Hugo (and Sonya) for all your work in the sartorial world.
Merci de cette video monsieur Hugo! Votre passion envers l'elegance est un example a suivre pour tous ceux qui essayent de faire évoluer leurs styles dans la direction d'une elegance intemporel.
Mr Jacomet. I follow ever your videos. I have to say that I love yours compliments for the italians. I'm happy because when you talk about the artisans of England ( where I attended a school for bespoke shoemakers) or Parisien artisans, you are very entusiastic, but... when you talk about the italians artisans, I can see a really defferent light in your face... Best regards Riccardo Mazzocato
I love your videos, you really inspire me to step my game in the dressing arena. You make me want to be sharp as possible. I will buy the book. Love Italian style.
Hugo is an articulate and sharp man. I have friends born in the States and every other word is "uhh" "umm" "ehh"... Hugo has great knowledge and speaks clearly and with passion. A real pleasure to watch.
I purchased both books sight unseen just based on the quality and production level of the videos from Sartorial Talks. Completely satisfied. Well done.. Of course also because of the obvious expertise and passion of Hugo.
It is vital that these artisans be recognized because it may be that many will not have a younger generation willing to carry on their craft. This is a very special project and I am grateful for the book.
I'm a Brazilian guy who loves clothing, and specially the Italian tailoring. I got some Italian jackets and when I wear then it feels absolutely incomparable to any other jacket that I have ever worn. I love the passion they put into their clothes, and how each piece is unique. I'd love to wear my jackets everyday without being judged, because the majority of the people here don't have any sense of style and flip-flops are worn anywhere. So whenever I try to wear a jacket people automatically think I'm going to a super important event, sad.
It is sad indeed, but you should stick to dressing well if you like it. Because it will pay enormous dividends one day or another Gabriel. Cheers! Hugo
Hi Hugo, just found your channel and subscribed to your channel. I want to say thank you for the wonderful work you are doing for all the Gentlemen around the globe👏👏👌
New to the Sartorial World, am fortunate to find your videos. I have learn so much from you. Hoping to one day have the chance to meet you. Thank You for making these great videos!!!!!
+SARTORIAL TALKS - Mr. Jacomet, I would like to express my sincere thanks for recording your writings and now a cyber series of what I would like to call, "style with historic value past, present, and future with passion" Kudos to you and your wife. You have a new follower/student. Be Well / Cheers, Benjamin (Ben) G. / NYC, USA
Superb video and packed with great information. Your genuine delivery filled with passion for the subjects and the people involved with Moda are a thing of beauty. Thank you for your effort.
HUGO, I JUST ORDERED YOUR BOOKS "PARISIAN GENTLEMAN AND ITALIAN GENTLEMAN." GREAT WORK. THANKS FOR EDUCATING US ON THE GREAT CRAFTSMEN OF THE SARTORIAL WORLD. NOW ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO COMPLETE THE SERIES IS A BOOK CALLED "THE ENGLISH GENTLEMAN". GREAT MILLS IN ENGLAND, IRELAND AND SCOTLAND. AND SAVILE ROW IS NEAR ALL THE SHOE MAKERS AND SHIRT MAKERS....PLEASE DO THAT BOOK NEXT. THANKS.
Good evening Sir. My friend James Sherwood already wrote a book called "Savile Row" in 2010 (also at Thames and Hudson) and "The Perfect Gentleman" two years later. So I think the English Gentleman subject is very well covered by those two books. Thanks for your kind words though, Hugo
God only knows how much you have shown me to see clothes and shoes in different ways! And you were right, it's an addiction. over 30 Shoes and over 20 suits and many many shirts, I'm now so bored :) The edge is gone! Maybe it's time to move on outdoor winter jackets. I do have one problem which is Tie if I make a nice knot and it will become to short on me, I'm only 5'11 but for some reason only a few ties I can make a great knot and yet still long enough to reach above my belt buckle. Zegna ties are the ones I have noticed are too short about an inch. But my French ties are a perfect fit and they knot well. Please make us a video regarding Ties and knotting and the occasions or each style and knotting. Hermes Ties are best in my opinion, so as Paco Rabanne. Thanks again Hugo.
Dear Tom, I've done a few tie video since your comment (see French channel too). Hope you're doing well and thanks for the benefit of your experience that you've given us here. Hugo
Appreciate very much ! We now have a shoes book and a podcast. :) Thanks for sending positivity our way and sorry for the (very) late reply. Best, Hugo
Subscribed and looking forward to all future content and your coming book! Day 1 purchase! Thank you not just for the knowledge, but the glimpse inside a special world and a look at the people within. It truly is something beautiful and genuine. Your love and passion translate so wonderfully both in your style but also your spirit. Bravo!
This is so inspiring! I'm so glad I chanced upon this video. I'll be sure to get my hands on this book as I'm really interested in the world of gentlemen's wear.
Dear Aditi, thank you for your kind message and your encouragements. Of course I try to answer as much as I can, it's my pleasure and my duty. Lots of love from France (and Italy, and the USA). Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS Yes, I agree with you it's never too late. What i actually meant was that dressing up would have been ALOT easier back when i joined the bank industry. Being from a place like Pakistan, you can guess that there aren't alot of people who could guide me on contemporary styles and ideas. My father and uncles did very well to educate me in this game but they were very old school AND VERY VERY STRICT TOO LOL. But yes, never too late. God bless you and your loved ones and those who love u. Ahad.
Very interesting! I'm glad to see someone writing books about style this way. I myself am a newbie, just discovering my first interesting facts about classic men's style. so I don't know many names unless they're very famous. But I did encounter some remarcable luxurious classic men's brands. I thought you would mention Angelo Galasso. But you never have. So in the future videos, please say I think about to about Angelo Galasso. He is one of my favourite designers who is considerably different from others. Not to mention it's one of the most expensive brands I've ever heard of.
Dear Danilo, thank you for your contribution. As for Angelo Galasso, I find the style a little bit overdone and overall the brand very overpriced. But it's just a matter of taste of course. Cheers, Hugo
Brilliant video, Hugo. You are a true gentleman and certainly doing the best work in this field available anywhere in the world. Thank you for sharing the color behind these beautiful stories. Can’t wait to receive my book!
Thanks for your kind words Kirby. We hope to see you soon. Cheers, Hugo

Nice to hear ! We'll probably come to NYC for a book signing event this fall. Stay tuned ! Hugo
Complimenti per questo bel lavoro. Grazie.
Grazie !! Hugo
Hugo
After hearing 5 minutes of this video i ordered both of your books on eBay. What great passion you have for this topic. I want to learn.
Thanks Hermann. I hope you will appreciate the books. Hugo

Dear Aditi, thank you for your kind message and your encouragements. Of course I try to answer as much as I can, it's my pleasure and my duty. Lots of love from France (and Italy, and the USA). Hugo
Brilliant stuff...very disappointed that i found your channel way too late. Good stuff.
Why too late my friend? It's never too late! You just have 100 episodes ahead of you! Merry Christmas, Hugo
Cheers, Hugo
really enjoyed this video, fantastic information
Thank you Gerry. Glad to read this ! Cheers, Hugo
Thankyou sir !! Please make more video. I will support you with all my heart
Thanks from our hearts ! Hugo and Sonya
It is true. Cashmere fabric looks great and feels awesome.
Indeed ! Hugo
Your suit is gorgeous. Is there a name for that type of blue/purple shade?
Dear David, it's a suit by Sartoria Pirozzi in Napoli. This blue is a standard mid-blue (the bunch is Blazon by Drapers in Bologna). Cheers, Hugo
If the book is written in the same perfect English that Hugo speaks then it will worth to get .
Thank you so much ! Hugo
Thanks Hugo. I love the music you choose
I'm happy for that ! Hugo
Italy has always been the quintessential country of stylishness and good taste, even since Roman times. No question about it.
I cannot disagree Shane! Hugo
