- Clouseau strips for Lesley Anne Down - before being interrupted by Cato. Classic final scene from The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), with Peter Sellers and Burt Kwouk
'But what has happened to my roooooom?'
Love this scene, it never gets old.
Every movement of his body is timed to perfection as he undresses. Comedy this good and this sutle comes along once in a lifetime...Sellers had it all and more than his fair share...Never will he see his like again. A real MASTER actor and comedian...G...
*subtle
The Pink Panther movies are timeless. They never get old.
the most epic ending in Cinema . Hilarious still today
Definitely no other film.Could compete for that ending!
It was a great send up of the final scenes of the bond movies. RIP Peter Sellars you comedy king. ( and Herbert Lom).
“Come to me". Sad this song came out only in 1964 or maybe Peter would have sang it to his first wife, Anne Howe, a very beautiful and good hearted woman who truly loved him and gave him 2 kids. The best woman he had in his life and by far.
"Not now Cato"......what funny stuff........thanks for all the laughs.....
@peterjohnson617 The moment when Clouseau hired Cato as a sparring partner, he should have said to him, "when I'm with a woman, no surprise attacking."
I remember seeing this in the theater when it first came out. I nearly peed my pants when the bed flipped up!
My absolute favorite Peter sellers scene!
I remember seeing this film in 1980 when peter sadly died it was funny god rest his soul.he was funny.
SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! What, WHAT? CATO YOU IMBECILE NOT NOW! CATO! AHHHHHHHHH! SPLASH!!!!!! This has seriously got to be the funniest scene in any movie. Thanks for uploading it, its a riot
I'm flabbergasted Lesley-Ann Down was actually just 21 years old when she filmed this movie.
That is surprising. Reminds of Carmen Diaz when she was in The Mask, she was in her early 20s at that time.
Lesley-Anne Down can drop by my reeoom any time.
She's still gorgeous today. Like a fine wine women like her get better with every age
_"Was it hard for you in the Resistance?"_
_"Very hard. But not as hard as it is now."_
lol
great dirty line
One of the funniest lines I've ever heard in a movie, under the circumstances !
Clouseau was impeccably dressed for awhile , too funny !
My little yellow friend... I suppose they got away with it then. YOu just have to look at Sellers face to start laughing. What a compléte legend
He gets lost crawling under the bed sheets. Absolutely hilarious.
"It was my voice singing a little song we used to sing in the resistance to keep the courage"
Greatest Filmfinale of all times❤❤ timeless! Genius! We ' ll laugh about in 100 years... humor for eternity.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Really classic poignant song
in this classic movie moment.
To me this was the last really great
Pink Panther film.
(not that Revenge of The Pink Panther was horrible or anything just IMO it wasn't quite as memorable as this one or most of the earlier PP films)
We really lost Peter Sellers too soon,
Most of The Pink Panther movies
came out before I was born
but I always wish I could have met him just to say thanks for everything he put into his classic films and classic characters.
The Pink Panther films dealt a triple-blow in the early-1980's.
1): DePatie-Freleng being sold to Cadence Industries, who put it as part of the comic book company they owned back then, Marvel Comics.
2): United Artists was demolished, (I'm being metaphorical here) because of the failure of Michael Cimino's _Heaven's Gate,_ a film that was a little too ahead of its time, leading to UA being sold to MGM.
3): The BIG blow? Peter Sellers' death before going to have dinner with his colleagues from his troupe, _The Goon Show._
I know it's not chronological, but I'm making a point.
Chronologically, first Peter Sellers died, then DePatie-Freleng was sold to Marvel Comics, and then United Artists was sold to MGM, so this triple-blow destroyed what made the films what they were.
Even though the follow-up film, _Revenge of the Pink Panther,_ was successful, it wasn't as successful as the others. This should have been the finale of the saga.
So I'm agreeing with you on this one. This was the last really great Pink Panther film.
It's nice to see Kato recovered from his gunshot injuries he received at Fort Knox.
No greater scene of physical, slapstick comedy. That's Peter Sellars.
Lesley-Anne Down nails it as the straight person / alluring temptress.
Major credits to Tom Jones and the bubble machine.
Anyone else catch the continuity error?
When Clouseau goes under the sheet, he still has his pants on because his fly got stuck and he couldn't get them off...but when Cato attacks and Clouseau stands up on the bed, his pants are gone and he's just in a pair of "tightie whities."
OOOPS...somebody goofed.
One of my fav scenes , this is my fav Pink Panther film
The amount of destruction in these films is hilarious 😂❤
Well, that put a damper on proceedings.
Pure magic.
The endless fights with Kato are always hilarious. Leslie Ann Warren is a gorgeous actress. She probably looked her sexyist and most refine in Rough Cut, a lovely caper heist film she made with Burt Reynolds. Sellers of course had magnificent comic timing.
She was good in the mini series North and South
Brilliant "was it hard for you"
Mr. Sellers was so talented!
@AlmostHuman3 No truer words have been spoken. The Clouseau/Cato scenes are hysterical. You have great taste.
Powar I am
mohan powar

Peter Sellers brought joy and laughter to millions!! However, I read that he was devastated that he never became well-known as a serious dramatic actor. He hated playing the idiot Clouseau. Sad, because NO ONE could EVER replace his comedic genius. ❤
You have chosen clouseau when cato tries to sneak attack-brilliant scene. Thanks so much for your incredible taste.
Yes, I remember that scene.
A true classic!!! Thanks for posting!!!!😄👍🏻
Talk about deja vu for Clouseau. Just like in A Shot In The Dark when he's about to get frisky with Maria Cato has to ruin it all.
In the case with "A Shot in the Dark" it was more hilarious as there was Dreyfus to kill him and, be honest, Clouseau fell for Maria.
Just like in A Shot In The Dark when he's about to be alone with a lovely woman Cato has to show up
@Dan Castro While Clouseau did say to Cato that he (Cato) should attack him when he least expects it but, I guess he should have told Cato not to do it when he's with a woman since he said "Cato, not now."
Great actor i love it
Beutiful song en mooie film wat zing je mooi
So funny with that wording. I can't believe I'm saying this but it would be great to know that there is a clouseau out there somewhere.
clouseau186 alan Alda at least
Most awesomest ending ever. And romantic too..... Huh Madame Tigera?!
That stunt ending came as unexpectedly as the Corona virus in 2020. Best ending in the history of cinema.
In his Chaos was complete order. Too funny
What makes the comedy is Sellers is a handsome man...just totally inept!
..you expect suave 007 deftness but get chaos instead!
Man Leslie Anne Down was hot and still is
What has happened to my REUM
Peter sellers was the inspector c no one can top his works in these pink panther movies
Adorable!
What makes this whole thing even funnier is the only reason she is interested in him at all is that she thinks he is the man who was the best sex of her life, when in fact the man was Omar Sharif with his face hidden in the shadows of Clouseau’s room! LOL.
Beautyful movie
love it
Little Britain! The Mighty Boosh! Catherine Tate! Ricky Gervais! James fucking Corden! These people couldn't tie the showlaces of Sellers...G...
TheGmcFilms I know
Is that Tom Jones? Great ending
Yep.
Kato..... Perfect timing??? ?????!!! 😍
The reeom is quite different this time.
Priceless. Also an excellent movie is Peter sellers and Herbert Lom in the Lady Killers
Mom: HOW MANY HAVE I TOLD U BOYS NO FIGHTING, PLAYING, HUMPING OR JUMPING ON THE BED?!?!?
😡😡😡
She has great patience
Nice use of an Oscar-nominated song.
verry good
A fairly good example of my seduction technique
Beautyful music tomjones
lesley anne down and sellers - heaven
"Yes that was my voice".
What has happened to my room?
Sha had had sex with Omar Sharif, thinking it was Clouseau. That is the funniest thing.
Great actor
lesley is my,papa's cousin
Hi Amber Young, I wanted to ask you. .is there any possibility you could ask your dad to get in touch with Lesley and ask her if she can remember the name of her stunt double in this scene. The stuntMEN in this movie are named on the internet but not the stuntWoman.
Bert Kwouk
Inspector Gadget must have been inspired by Inspector Clouseau
the best
anything is possible ;)
After Clouseau saved the day by foiling Dreyfus' evil plan, he came home to strip for Lesley Anne Down, but soon the couple were interrupted by Cato.
Except for the fur coat, Lesley spends her entire role naked.
@Aaron Z She did wear a hat when she was first seen on the movie.
@@afriendofbean You've got me there, I guess her hair was the last place I was looking.
@@aaronz7056 That's okay.
3:40 sing to me... 🎤😵
Era un genio di comicità dove tutti hanno copiato anche tanti"comici!" italiani.
Simone: (Walks in the room) Jacque, you are cheating on me! We are married!
Clouseau: I don't love you anymore since you cheated on me since you now love Sir Charles Litton!
Olga: That's right, back off! If you loved him, you wouldn't have cheated on him! He is now in a relationship with me! So, get out of this room!
Simone: (Walks out sad).
Cato (Walks in the room): Hyah, I will beat her up for your Inspector Clouseau.
Clouseau: Thank you Cato.
Cato: (Beating up Simone).
Simone: (Running out of the room screaming).
Cato (Screaming and chasing Simone).
😳😯😳 what has happend to my ruum 😂😂😂😂😂
Not now Cato!
