I talked to someone from Bombardier at ATL back in 2019, and they said that all voices prior to the current ones were deleted. I was curious because the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth GA has two Westinghouse C-100 vehicles from ATL, and according to one of the employees, they connected power to the train, and it played through all the voice announcements that HAL made.
Where is “we are experiencing a slight delay with the train system,if you are close to your departure time, you may need to walk to your departure gate or baggage claim.
Can you find or make the sound from the gates that flashes red lights then says "Careful, doors are closing and will not reopen, please wait for the next train" something like that when the doors closes.
I really wish i could hear the engine sound that the plane train makes or at least know what type of engine or motor ot runs on that makes that sound because I love the sound it makes
Happy 10th anniversary of the Sharon Feingold voice. The first video with the current voice is "Walking through ATL airport. Being Sweet Tea" This video was filmed on March 22nd, 2012 at the Concourse E station. It has the Susan Bennett voice when the train is out of service and you can hear the new chime and voice when the other train is departing.
Do you do videos like this for other public rail transit systems? I could see you assembling other videos like this for other cities, airports and train systems alike. :)
You can hear that 1996 announcement on a video called "Running in an Empty Atlanta Airport*" at 0 : 33 and 2 : 32. And you can also hear a first version in "AIRPORT POWER FOOTAGE" from 08/18/1999 from CONUS Archive. The announcement before the year was changing, it says "The train system is out of service. Please use the moving sidewalks." And later, it says "The train system is out of service. Please use the sidewalks."
This sound is always a vibe to hear at 4-5 am whilst going to your flight.
“At Marta, we believe everyone should enjoy the ride-“
Oops sorry wrong train
I never knew I needed this in my life
Lol
hearing this really makes it set in that you’re finally about to make that trip you really wanna take 😭
Sharon Feingold (current Plane Train voice) did a splendid job!
I heard this voice when I was flying to Florida for the first time. I'm flying to Arizona for Christmas and I'm gonna hear it for the second time
All the other gates are the phonetic alphabet except it’s D as in David. I suppose to avoid confusion with Delta Airlines
Thought they said Dixie or something
Well, Atlanta IS a really big Delta hub.
@@robertfromadventuresofrobe335atlanta is delta headquarters
You are correct. They use the APCO radiotelephony spelling alphabet in which "David" is used instead of "Delta"

@@Ugandylan_Knuckles13 no I was only told what happened, I wasn’t as the museum when they plugged the train in.
This is very remixable

I don't how you's done but I know you'd done it!! That is remarkable how you picked up all these sounds!! You are awesome!!!
The voice that was on for 2001 needs to be on here. Bill Murray was the voice. Not the same one that played Garfield!

4:50 Has this ever happened in the airport?
I've actually heard it. They were doing maintenance at around 2 in the morning and the trains were unavailable.
