I can’t second guess the “recommendation” since we don’t know what injuries players were playing with at the end of the year. I do remember how much Terry improved when he came back in great shape, so hopefully Leo comes back a jacked 6’3” power forward. We should have a Ducks “Newport Shores” with a house for Leo, Zegras, Zellweger, Cutter and the other bachelors pushing each other in summer workouts.
I would have enjoyed watching Carlsson at worlds, but he does need to get a little stronger and also heal up for next season...Which should be a fun one.... Your Russian sounds more like Klingon, which isn't a bad thing.
it would have been good for his devopment to go play WJC on home ice, and it would have been good for him to go play worlds. hit and miss here from anaheim and verbeek. worlds act as a great way for young players, or any players for that matter, to go and find a new perspective after playing with the same team/coach/system in the NHL. i have seen multiple NHL players stagnating, then going to the worlds, and pop the next season. but with that said, i agree, he should not play after those knee injuries. rest up. in the U18s 2022, he got his knee whacked and couldnt finish the tournament. been through a lot.
Leo could use the rest with his knee being all gumby this season. Z barely played so could use the work against the best. Little Z and dostal probably also wants more gametime. My dream world has Z trying to do the Michigan on dostal, dostal shutting him down, and doing the mutombo finger wag at a laughing Z.

He played so much hockey this past year dude definitely needs rest and time to build up his body this offseason.
