I love this song so much from the first opening note on the bass I was instantly captivated and trapped in the cage of infinite listening. Each second of enchantment by the wonderful sounds and amazing lyrics. I am entrapped in the mystical land that is this song, around every corner there is is an infinite maze of possibility, winding around multiple realms of colour and wonder , a realm of captivating beauty in every cleverly crafted structure of the world, a realm of dense and lush forests and enchanting landscapes that make you look into your life and question if you have ever seen a land so beautiful in your entire life. The sun in this realm is coloured purple , the grass blue , the leaves yellow , the moon blood red as if the body of a wondrous and enchanting demigod had just risen and gained a mystical weapon of mass destruction and is using it to entrap trillions of souls from every universe in their sandbox of death and destruction. To sum it up this is a great song and if you couldn't tell already I love writing ( I'm 14 btw ) .
The production on this song is amazing, I feel like we just don't get recordings like this much anymore. Mic'd fret boards, mixed-in DI on guitars, live drums, audible room sound, a crisp and silky vocal track that doesn't even have a gate, tactical use of double tracking, huge compression on the kick drum and separately mic'd hi-hats, and the best bit of all, mixing in what could only be Wilbur's improvised beat box percussion from his vocal session to stay in the groove of the song during the bridge. Flawless.
