Hey guys, i'm a motorcycle mechanic and i'm very familiar with Gsxr engines, a few key things i wanted to point out were to make sure to only use the clutch switch to start the engine! they have a safety so no matter what the clutch needs to be pulled to crank, but there is also a soft limiter engaged which will change ignition timing and fuel mapping, essentially using the map for neutral, which has a rev limiter a few hundred RPM lower than while in gear under load. Not crucial but the more power the better!
Also the sensor in the sprocket cover is purely a speed sensor which is totally not necessary, so that should not effect the engine running, last resort just unbolt it from the cover. The important things to check would be to make sure the kick stand switch is jumped or the switch is connected so it does not kill the engine when put into gear, and the Tip over sensor if that is not already jumped. i'm guessing one of those two things happened, Also if the instrument cluster is not completely destroyed, it would be best to plug it in so you could see if there are any FI errors. Once you get it running you have to bypass the kickstand safety switch. Every time you put it in gear, the engine will die.

Hey Kyle, Theres three start safety on that engine one is the clutch second is neutral and lastly is the kickstand safety. you need to bypass those three to run no safety.. Thumbs up so they can see!
You are right except don't bypass the clutch. Becuase if it thinks it's got the clutch pulled in all the time itl throw a lower power map. Typical suzuki

gtiyannick is right, don’t permanently bypass the clutch switch. Tie it to a switch on the brake pedal or something so that it works. “Clutch in” map is kinda like limp mode.

They need remove those secondary’s that not a choke will give better throttle response should be only two screws in each one free mod
Make sure you bypass the kickstand kill switch!(like this so they can see it and win!)

28:58 Guys there's a safe start lock-out system built in. With the cover on it's telling the ECU it's in gear and the sidestand is down - something along those lines - if there's 3 wires down there cross them all like the clutch switch! Good luck from Dublin Boiz!

When you bypass the clutch switch like that your killing a lot of power. It makes the computer think the clutch is always pulled in and it has a low power map just for neutral.

not at all, the clutch saftey switch is purley to stop anyone starting the bike in gear, its a saftey feature, the wires are part of the switchgear loom, its not connected to the ecu

Check the tip over switch on the loom. Little box with a up sign. Over 45 deg it will cut spark. The sensor on the side is just for speedo pick up.
Especially if its a crashed bike.

Shell Rotella is available everywhere and works well for bike in my experience.
Mobil 1 4T racing oil get it at any parts store or walamrt
4 Cylinders of Fury I use Mobil delvac in my four wheeler with a wet clutch and it doesn't slip at all
I used to use rotella and wheelie and beat the shit out of my bike. No slipping, no blowing up. I have since switched to Motul 300V race oil, rotella works great though and is cheap.

Wire up a clutch switch otherwise it will throw a code when driving, bypassing will restrict the motor from my experience with a 09 GSXR! Assuming your clutch cover question relates to this.. Good luck!!

not onlythe chain but the sprocket hub will go under a lot of torque. it should get a few tacks. the splines on the atv axle aren't that strong. he should change de gearing also! higher gearing so a smaller back sprocket and a larger front one. so in the drag race it wont hit the limiter as soon.

Never heard of that. I know they will shut down the engine if you put it in gear with the stand down. I've always started my bikes on the stand to warm up while getting my gear on.
@@CaptainYodelstein I've had my cbr for 10 years and I agree with what you're saying because my bike is the same. It wouldn't make sense that you'd have to sit there holding the bike up while it warms up cuz can't start with kickstand down but hey

R1 motor is already pushing 150 horses...that much power on a golf cart, I'd be happy if i can find traction on a motorcycle that instant rev up to 15500rpm. Add Nitrous to that? That's literally a burnout cart...won't be good for 8th mile or wheelie contest.

It might be not that easy to turbo, because motorcycle engines are high compression ratio, meaning they would run into knock issues really fast.
