I love love love these videos every week and super appreciate them, but I’m wondering if you’ve ever considered doing a video for what sold for a week that would be items that did not do well, as in took forever to sell and or had a low sales price? Just to kind of give us an idea of bad purchases we should avoid that at the time maybe you thought would be good. Thanks so much.
I have been trying to include bad buys and talk about them in the videos (items that took forever to sell or I priced them too high). Do you mean items that ended up selling for a really low price? The trouble is, most of my bad buys have not sold yet lol.

Hi Chica! I've had some days of concentrated sales as well. What I see with promoted listings is that items I'm promoting are not getting more views than anything else. In fact, they aren't even on the radar most of the time. AKA I'm not seeing a difference in traction on an item that I've added promoted listings to. I started using promoted listings back in Feb and noticed the shift around the beginning of May.

Thanks Cayley!! Learned a few new brands today. You mentioned something about a group to join?? What group? And you mentioned wholeseller? I want to learn more.. 😊. In Georgia I can't seem to find the majority of the brands you name check and we have dozens of goodwill stores. Seems like all they ever have is Chico and Kim Rogers types of clothing. What am I missing? Is it the south doesn't have these brands?? Thanks for your input

You might try doing a deep dive into the ebay sold comps and filter to your zip code within a 50+ mile radius. That way you can see what kinds of brands you may have access to.
what part of GA? I'm in South Ga and I run into this also. sometimes I luck up but lots of high end brands are pulled at Goodwill and sold online.
I’m in North Ga. It is very hard to find these brands and the competition is rough. I just sell what I can find. The larger sizes do better.
I’m in Alabama. I’ve been to the Birmingham bins. It’s okay sometimes. I’ve also been to the bins in Columbus GA. Those bins weren’t very good.
I want to go to Tennessee. It’s hours away and I also have a regular job.
It’s not easy to find time.
Does anyone know if the bins in Tennessee are good? I’m planning on making a day trip there soon.
Cayley, how many items do you try to post daily? I would love more information on running the business side of resale. I just do it as a hobby right now but I would love to start full time soon.
We post 40 listings active a day. But remember, I have help. There are some solo resellers listing 40 a day and they have very streamlined processes.
What is your typical buying budget for a week?
I don't typically set a budget.
Cayley, do you know the difference with the Farm Rio tag that just says farm and has Brazil tag information? I know the Farm Rio tag is off their website or from Anthropologie, but I've found a couple things that just have "farm" and can never find the same styles online. Just curious if you know!
I am not 100% sure. I have sold a few things with just Farm on the tag and it seems to sell well.
Have you tried doing some items under auction? My former consignment partner told me that she switched to auctions on some items and sales have sky rocketed.
I have not recently. I think that would be too much for me to keep track of.

Hello Cayley, I just got a return request for a pair of shorts AFTER the 30 day free return period. Buyer reason was didn’t like and didn’t fit. I had all the measurements in description and in photos. eBay states I don’t need to accept the return because it was after 30 days, what would you do in this case? I don’t want to get scammed or have any damage to my store. In the past providing them the return label has been the most difficult for whatever reason. Thoughts?
I would not accept the return. If they do anything like leave negative feedback, you should be able to get it removed by ebay.
Time for class
Learned some brands today. After your last video regarding promoted listings I decided to give it a go at the suggested rate. Although it’s hard to see that percentage taken out of my profit it has significantly increased my traffic & sales. Hoping this will combat summer slow down and so far it’s working. I’d be curious to see what your results are in a month or so to see if sales take a dip. Thank you.
Awesome! I will definitely be reporting back. It was also suggested to me to take promoted listings off all of them about once a month and then add it right back on. I'm going to try this soon. I am coming up on 2 months.

Which beat APRIL! With 8 days to go. But I changed a lot of things in a short period of time so hard to know for sure what's doing it if not all of it? I'm listing 8 a day now going to 9 soon. About how long do you think it takes to reflect actual sales per listings per day? I'm wondering how high my sales may go with even just 8!

@@winkiejg1 Suggested rate changes daily by eBay if you choose to use that way of promoting. I did that once until an item sold and the rate was 20%! You don't control the rate.
I would like to know how many of your sales are sold by being promoted as opposed to not being promoted. I think eBay shows if it is sold through promoted or not. I think an item can sell not promoted, even if you have promoted it. I think you do not pay the promoted fee if it does not sell promoted. Am I correct in my thoughts? Thanks for all your great info!
You are correct. I recently did a video about my first month on promoted listings. I share these numbers in that video. Currently I have 76 orders ready to ship, 61 of them sold via promoted listings.

Did you happen to keep data as you grew from # of listings per day? How much your sales grew? I would LOVE to hear those stats!!! I've gone from 3 a day (22 Months) to 5 early April, 6 end of April, 7 in May then June 7th to 8 per day. Did you do any videos on those stats?

Also I went from 3-4% to 9% May 15th ad rate.
It's been awhile since I've increased my listings, in fact since last year we've decreased how many we're doing per day. Here in 2 weeks I will be bumping us up an extra 5 a day, so I'll keep track of the data and can share that with you!

do use promoted listings on Poshmark?
I do not.
I just read that poshmark doesn’t allow bots but it seems like everyone is using Posher VA or programs like that. What are your thoughts about this? Or do they allow them? I’m a little confused.
From what I can tell, they recently changed their policy to "use third party software" at your own risk. I personally use PosherVA with no issues and have been using them since before they reworded it.

Hi Caley, would like to ask for advise, started listing items on Poshmark, a user message me that she cannot see the item pictures on her device (maybe a cellphone) and asked if I can send the pics to her email shown on her bio, is this normal request that you see in Poshmark?

It is a scam. You should report them by clicking the flag icon and selecting transaction off Poshmark.

I have a question. I posted a free people cami and the description is similar to other free people cami post. When I do a general search for 'free people cami's' my cami does not show up even when I filter all of my description points. I don't know what I could be doing wrong.
Hmm...thats a good question. It may be that there's just too many available. Sometimes in that case for your listing to actually be different in order to stand out. It might be worth differentiating yourself.
