- This is the Hammerhead Ti- the long running Zelos diver design crafted from grade 2 titanium and covered with a hard clear coating. The lume is next level, and the bracelet carries an 'Omega style' quick adjust clasp. My favorite feature is the ever dynamic geometrically coordinated mother of pearl dial. LAUNCHES 8 JUNE 2023

I'm eyeing this version. Gonna pull the trigger after this video. Thank you Bruce
Love the unique styling of this mother of pearl dial. Great way to make a normally feminine dial material look masculine and appealing. I've had a couple Zelos before to try out, but so far they haven't been for me. I love trying out micro brands and independents and recognize what Zelos brings to the industry so will keep an eye out to try anything that catches my eye in the future.
I've had a couple of Selita movements, and the teeth on the ratchet wheel have sheared off when hand winding.
I have a lot of Zelos watches. A number with the higher beat Miyota movements. One with the LJP G100, that is really impressive. But, there's still a time and place for a Seiko NH movement. Particularly when companies like Zelos take the time to regulate them before putting them in a watch. Which is something I'm not sure Seiko actually takes the time to do!
Zelos has been smart in offering watches with a range of movements. A Seiko NH keeps this HH3 drop more affordable.
The main focus of this watch is the design, the use of Titanium, the dial variants, and, of course, the lume. Would a hi beat Miyota make it better? Sure. But the NH movement makes it more affordable, and when you consider that, bigger picture, with other Zelos drops, then I'm happy they still use an NH movement in a new release.
I agree it's smart with using the Seiko movements. I feel like I have 0 worries with if the movement fails bc it can be replaced with ease!
I'm new to this company, do you know how often they do the countdown launches? I can see myself buying several from watches from this company. There are like 4 I would buy if they weren't sold out currently
Thanks for the video. I thought that the blue indices would be hard to read against the predominantly blue background. The play of light on the dial when the watch is viewed from different angles improves the legibility against the hands and whether intended or not, is pretty cool!
Just watched a different review of the Hammerhead with the meteorite dial. Lume is above average on this piece and the piece is very unique. Great value for money. Thanks for the review.
I absolutely hate their business model and swore I would never buy one of their watches but I had to swallow my pride, I bought the Ti with meteorite dial!
Gorgeous Zelos
Amazing piece, i wish they were sold in europe
Thanks to your review I pulled the thrigger on this one, really thank you
Love this dial!
Love Zelos
I pulled the trigger because of this video. Thank you!
Were u able to buy the V3 Mosaic?
It Sold Out!
Zelos are next seiko
This watch has a good looking dial and loom.
Pro and con is Zelos always trys to put out unique dials. I find them interesting but i often pass on each launch since i know i won't wear them. I usually prefer a more subdued black, or dark blue dial.
Astonishing for the money
BRUCE whats your top 3 fav watches currently man? (Dont give me the safe answer)
Was anyone else having my experience yesterday? With watching the countdown timer like my life depended on it, and ordering it as fast as I possibly could!😂
Then it took me to a screen that said wait time for purchase is less than a minute - 20min later I'm still waiting😫, but then i used my buddies phone and was able to successfully order it - WOOOO HOOOO!!!!😃
No, I had absolutely no problems.
@@sinjinadams2862 were you buying it within seconds of the countdown timer?
Yes
Very nice. I had a Swordfish. Wore very nice for a 43mm. This one looks nice as well as the Ti-Dimascus. Both will probably sell out instantly, unfortunately.
They did!
If anyone wants any of these they better order quick on release day. They sell out in minutes. The popular dials sell out in seconds.
I absolutely hate their business model but I have to admit that it has been hugely successful for them!
For less than $500- sure looks awesome!
very nice and unique. Not a fan of the blue indices but very nice nontheless
The hands/indices color is my main sticking point with this one, too. I don't like the lack of contrast. The blue looks better on the serious watches forged carbon model where it has more contrast against the dark gray dial.
It says it's 13mm thick on the website. Did you or them get it wrong?
I just ordered this one the minute it launched. The Damascus model sold out instantly.
I was after the damascus too. I wonder if they made 250 pieces like the MOP? I was just happy to get the V3 MOP...I literally almost called into work just so I would be free at the countdown 😂, luckily I was free at the time
I think it's funny how watches are trending in the Canon fiber, timascus, and damascus direction. Being a knife guy, it's kinda funny to me lol. I prob wouldn't buy a CF case, just bc it has a tenancy to be like (not likely, but far likely over something titanium or steel)
Only 100
Great review, Bruce! How’s it look when not in direct light, in your opinion?
So..
I have both this and the 42mm aurora MOP. The aurora MOP is a much darker mother of
Pearl than this one and wears blue in low light only. This hammerhead is fantastic in nearly all
Lighting due to the lighter MOP being chosen
Yeah. 459$. Good luck with that now :D It is closer to one grand at the secondary market.
This colour variation looks very nice to me. The only downsides are: the lume on Z on the crown is a different colour, and the Z on the dial has no lume on it. It is lumed on the red dial.
If the NH35 movement comes regulated, as San Martin and some other brands do with that caliber, then it's a pretty good deal.
They do!
Damn.
I just got the Mako GMT last month.
They need to pace their drops or I will get no more love at home!
How often do they do drops?? I'm new to this company and I'm wanting a few of their offerings pretty bad
Biggest gripe with Zelos. I only have one. AR coating is insufficient for the absolutely bling dials
Hello, what kind of light do you use to activate the lume of the watch ?? :)
A black light flashlight.
You can use any flashlight/bulb/sunlight. As long as bright enough
if the accuracy isnt too bad nh38 is ok
You will be lucky if can get one! No matter it has an NH3some movement...
This watch would be perfect with a SW200 movement inside. Even if it cost a little more money.
Lol
Zelos regulate their NH35 movements.
I’m thinking of picking this one up, but I can’t believe they used all blue lume on the watch but kept green lume on the crown. Big miss there, just looks off. Still undecided between this and the ember orange.
Which you get?
Too bad about the color of the thands and bezel numerals. The movement is fine.
Great thanks dude... your vid freakin blew my chances of buying this watch.... this was the exact model i was after uggghhhhh! 😂
UPDATE: After a LOT of stress before and after the countdown, i was able to get one! I haven't been this watch excited in a long time!!😀
a beautiful watch with a not soo good movement ... I have the bronze one, very well built ... but the movement ...
How is yours running?
@@MrZanzibar123 came from Zelos with a problem (my watchmaker fix it) … something was off … now it goes fast … I didn’t put it on a time grapher… but in 2weeks I have to readjust… I am done with seiko movements unless it’s from 8L35 above
I agree bruce! The reason i stay away from microbrands isnt because of the design- its the movement. Why not just buy a Seiko if you have an NH movement? typically i buy watches from brands who do in house movements.
@idkline it signifies the watch company has more than a CNC machine to just make a case and design.
@@IDKline I think everyone cared in the past without knowing until it wasn't the standard. Do you want to buy a Mercedes with a Ford motor?
@idkline I'm into COSC movements, I don't know what more I can say...
@idkline I buy seikos, timex and I have a rolex, the Rolex just blows everything away. I'm not saying it is the best but a accurate mechanical watch is important to me, why? Idk, the accuracy of +2/-2/day mechanically is just what I would expect from every watch manufacturer who's minimum watch is over $5,000
Features vs features this smokes a seiko nh35 watch. Features on this that you won't find on a similar priced seiko are many. Including on the fly micro adjust bracelet with bracelet quality way way above the seiko, grade 2 titanium with the harness coating, ceramic brushed bezel, an actual sapphire crystal, the mosaic mop dial, lumed crown, 300m water resistance and last but not least really outstanding customer service.
While the nh movement is a bit of a let down, Zelos releases different movements depending on the watch, including higher end movements such as the LJP 100 Soigne with a 68 hour power reserve.
Never buying a Zelos ever again. Take a hammer to it.
Which Zelos hurt you

Meh, i was thinking about buying this model but on video it does not convince me...the dial is too sophisticated for such a tool watch. I think I'll pass this time.
same, first time I see Zelos not sold out in 2 minutes.. Everything is still available but the Damascus after 20 minutes of release...
Yikes! That's an over-designed horror. You bought one? Oh- but it looks good on you.
NH35 is a hit or miss movement. I won't buy watches with them.
Horrific. No thanks
Sorry but this Zelos is just hideous… You must be a Bored Ape Club member to wanna buy it
