I guess it's because it's more interesting to see stuff that everyone can get now, for example GTX 550Ti, than it is to see a GPU that is not available anywhere at a decent price (for example RTX 3080 Ti.)

@@irfankone3004 in this video, most of the time, hd 520 is bottlenecked by the cpu, also bottlenecked by the DDR3 RAM. And it did outperform gt 710 in rdr2, cyberpunk in this video, so if there was not any cpu bottleneck as well as DDR4 ram like in the other laptops, HD 520 is a tad bit faster than 710
@@xstongames4778 On paper, gt 710 fucks the hd 520 so hard. But kryzzp has the ddr3 version so it's slower than the gddr5 version of the gt 710. But the hd 520 has better and newer drivers so it performs better in recent titles

I have the i7 version of this, it was my first laptop! In terms of productivity and power usage, they aren't half bad, but for games like Minecraft, you can still get 60 fps on lowered graphics.

I have a thinkpad L560 with an i3 6100u laying around, I gotta finish upgrading it. I tested it with 8gb of ram and an egpu (exp gdc beast on the express card port) which was a gtx 750 ti (i also tried a passive gt 1030 and performances were on par), it was a pretty decent combo for what it is.

i have a 6100u and 8GB dual channel ddr4 laptop. used to play some super light games on it at like 720p low settings at 40fps. not too bad if youve never had better.

This video is too useful for me, I have a Thinkpad t450 (I think that's the model) and I'm very happy with it, I can play a lot of good games like Fallout NV or Risk of Rain Returns. I think it's fun to see what games my laptop can handle, for example, the last week I bought Sifu... ... ... my laptop couldn't run it but hey, at least it was a funny experience, I'm waiting to see if I can run Dark Souls Remaster and Fallout 4; I hope my laptop can handle them. Nice video 👍

I had a similar laptop but with only 4gb of ram and played through the entirety of Bioshock with it at 853*480 with all settings on low😂 somehow got 50-60fps on average

What software are you using to keep track of your fps and temps and clock soeeds at the top left?
Now do an eGPU setup with a decent card and see if you can upgrade from the i3 to an i5/i7. Im sure that thing atleast has a wifi card slot that you can use for a pci x16 slot adapter. Love the content, keep it up!

I remember a time where this kind of CPU and GPU power would be unthinkable, not even in supercomputers. 320x200 gaming was 'high resolution', and 256 colours was a lot. RAM came in Kilobytes and 3D acceleration wasn't even a thing. 😁 But this laptop was never designed as a gaming machine, so the fact it struggles shouldn't come as a surprise. It will certainly run many older games just fine, but if you want more demanding titles, buy a proper 'gaming' laptop instead.
Running games at 320x200 on a CRT looks much better than on an LCD, an OLED or any flat display because a CRT is analog.
Except there aren't any good gaming laptops..buy a console instead

I do happen to have an old micro pc with an intel hd 530 integrated graphics. Don't know why its stuttering during 4k video playback. Could you lay some light, please.
I actually have one that supports ddr4 up to 2133MHz frequency. Will it help with day to day usage if I upgrade from 8GB to 16GB ?
Also can I mix ram manufacturers ? I dont have a kit but i have spare 8gbRAM that i can put in the 2nd slot (ddr4 2133) but they're not the same
Hey, thats a nice Test! Maybe you want to look into the Medion E3223, i have that thing and with some tweaking its quite powerful! Tho, under full cpu load it nearly instandly thermal throttles. As its a fanless design. Might be something! (You could also ask me to do some tests if you want me to xD)

Ahhh, I have almost the same specs - the intel hd is 620 one, the cpu is i3 7100U but the RAM is 4 GB, although upgradable up to 32 GB

the intel hd 750 (or intel iris x for laptops)
are actually decent if you want to test it, similar(better if you uncap the tdp to the rating tdp, default is 19 watts or something like that but in the page it says it can handle 45watts) to ryzen 3400G
The mobile xe graphics are actually better than the 750 because they have more execution units with up to 96 on the 1165g7 and better compared to 32 on the 750
@@ravioli0239 if you compare watt usage for perfomance 750 is better, but if u uncap the wattage of intel iris Xe, in that case, yes, Xe is better but if you do the laptop is going to overheat if you dont have overkill cooler in the laptop or a cooling pad

This is almost the same as my laptop. It was an i3 4005u and 2gb ram. It can even barely run Windows 10. It takes like 5 minutes to boot.

That 8GB ram is clutch. Mine is an HP laptop with the same specs but with 4GB ram and it fails to load up deathmatches properly until the last 30 or 40 secs are left out of 8 mins.

Imagine 6th generation i3 CPU bottlenecks its own integrated graphics card. This one is epic.
The i3 is a cheap, low end processor with a low end iGPU. They're aimed at running basic productivity apps, browsing the web and playing media files etc. Gaming is a secondary or tertiary consideration. So if gaming is your priority, you wouldn't be buying a machine with these specs. Horses for courses.

I'd go with the 560, as the other 2 stopped receiving driver updates! And the 560 is also a little bit faster while consuming way less :)
