I think I have an unhealthy obsession with this album. That said, this song very quickly became one of my favorites after a few listens - takes a bit to pick up on all the parts and lyrics. It's a gem in the sand for sure.
Lyrics (I tried): I let this one go, but you give reasons to chance and let your ego talk if you do the nothing to dance Let everyone know you had the last word said but deep down they know you're not the sharpest tool in the shed This feels like second grade filler, gold leaf filigree or not, I can't explain it much further, I never gave it much thought, I just moved on to the better, never looked back for less, nothing to make me feel tethered, nothing to add to the cause. I think it started for her, a change of story from, the tell steadily guiding not throwing me, what was the promised land, turn something already been said.... , u just wanna agree to disagree Let's take a look at the statistics, hand me the sheet and ate a bull in the realistic, must be hard to wear the same damn mask all the time, cant be easy to breathe without a plaque in the crown, .... teeth like a shark in the water.... something sheep slaughter
Lyrics (chorus) attempt after quite a few listens 😂 I let this one go But you can't resist the chance To let your ego talk If I do you're mad that they dance Let everyone know You'll get the last word said But deep down they know You're not the sharpest tool in the shed The last word, the last word, the last word
I listened to the ending so many times to figure this out but it's a tldr rendition of the myth of Le Blanc and his expedition of Treasure Mountain in Colorado.
This song has shades of The Dear Hunter sprinkled throughout--I like it a lot. It'd be interesting to see this sound explored more. Definitely stands out the most to me.

Does anyone know what kind of show/report they sampled at the end of the song? Sounds like a true crime/mistery podcast of something like that.

@@HeathensMjod Wow would have never imagined somebody would figure that out. Do you have a link to the exact rendition?
