With the dual stick controls, each stick represents one of your feet. You will need to learn how to control them and transfer weight, just like on a real skateboard. The physics have been developed with a focus on realism, smoothness and immersion. Just like in real life for a new skateboarder, the first hours can seem challenging, but once you have mastered the technique, you will feel the unrivalled thrill of pulling off your very first kickflip! Session: Skate Sim also includes full options customization, so you can enjoy the perfect experience tailored to you. A full tutorial provides all the help you need to get started, and you can choose from four difficulty levels!
THE 1990S AND SKATE CULTURE
Inspired by the golden age of street skating - the 1990s - Session: Skate Sim lets you experience true skateboarding and its culture: no scoring system; just you, your spot and your imagination! There's no need for judges to tell you that your noseslide or varial heelflip are perfect for this spot. And because certain locations are iconic, the developers have added several of them to the game for you to skate in and express your creativity, including Black Hubbas (New York City), Brooklyn banks (New York City), FDR Park (Philadelphia) and many other spots.

Skating and pulling off the best lines in the best spots is one thing, but if no one is there to film it, it didn't really happen… In Session: Skate Sim, you can film with a 1990s filter or fisheye lens, and you can use the video editor to create your clips and share them. You can play with multiple options, including changing the field of view, time of day, filters, and different camera views (tripod, orbit, etc.). Session: Skate Sim also offers the chance to go from skater to filmmaker: pull off your moves then go into film mode to experience the action from the point of view of your camera operator and create the best clip.
CUSTOMIZATION
Show off your style with an extensive customization system for your skater and skateboard. By completing challenges, you earn money to spend in skate shops. You can find nearly 200 items (hoodies, shoes, caps, T-shirts, trousers, etc.) from top brands, such as Fallen, Zero, GrindKing, Thankyou, HIJINX Net, Antilanta, Roger Skate CO, No-Comply, iDabble and others. You can also customise your skateboard with over 250 parts, such as wheels, trucks and many other components from famous brands like, No-Comply, GindKing, Thankyou and many others. In addition to the design aspect, the components (trucks, riser pads, wheels…) impact the way you skate. Find the right ones for your style and shred the most iconic spots!

The guy did a whole open world map. Just the fact you can see all the buildings in the distance and can actually access those streets is crazy, I mean many of those parks and squares are the size of a regular map on their own, it's mind blowing
what's crazy is that he said on his discord that the map was originally supposed to be twice bigger but he had to scrap a lot of areas because it ended up being just too much work for one person
If Creature doesn't make this a free official map in replacement of the Sewer map, they're insane.. They should do that, and hire this guy on the dev team.

It looks good and well made but the visuals/lightning feels very dry and dull, like excessively dark.
it happens on certain PCs for some reason but not all, so I added a way in the options to brighten the shadows, which help fix the problem, can also remove all ambient occlusions by turning post processing to low, which is another fix

Unfortunately, this map will never play too well if you don't have a top notch PC. If he can't find a way to better optimize it, noone will be able to play it
not true, I have an RTX 2060, which is an old card, and i play it at locked 60 fps no problem, if you have an even older card just turn off the NPCs and traffic and it'll run just fine
@@joelbartor So...turn off all the stuff that brings the city to life? Either way, I still think you're going to have issues. I already have issues on some of the existing modded maps on medium graphics.
@@iHoPStA i feel you man, but when you play this map you will see how gigantic it is, and all the new effects and features that don't exist in any other maps, all the details etc, so it only makes sense that it's more demanding config wise, the dude did say on discord though that he's working on more optimization for the public launch its still a beta right now, but as i said with my PC that is far from top notch i have no problem running it smooth with all the city life on so its really not that bad, night time or with weather on though I have FPS drops
@@joelbartor Yeah...I don't see my rig running this smoothly. GTX 1660....I got an old card. My son is 13, so now all my upgrades go to him lol. He convinced me to get him a 4060 last month. Don't see me being able to upgrade anytime soon.
@@iHoPStA i run a 1660 and all i have to do is turn my post proccessing as well as shadow settings to low (in session) and i have no issues running this map...however once the switch to UE5 is made later this year probably in Q3 (third quarter) all mods will be broken. Im sure teranom is working on that as we speak

If these games want to charge for DLC that is of course understandable but why can’t the devs make a map that resembles something like this.. map is awesome in many ways and I don’t know why we get a waterpark map but not this
That's a great map. Like a mix of skate and Session.
that's pretty much what it is, there are some more arcadey spots but also a whole bunch of very tech realistic spots
would love to see them swap out the 90s 'Real Maps' for these originals. I just think it would be a better look for um. and they'd no longer have to go through the legal system for approval they can make whatever the hell they want and put it in the game without restraint.
They got the dev team now I think it's time for a 🔄reboot. 😎 with all new maps locations challenges all that. if they replace the real maps with cities like these 🤩they're unbeatable! 👍🏽

Man, seeing this map REALLY makes me wish I had a pc. 😢 being stuck on console blows. I would gladly pay 20-30 bucks for this map as a dlc on console.

Maybe it's "realistic" but I think it's kinda wack that you get constantly harassed in this map by the NPCs.
Good thing is you can turn off the voices or even turn off the NPCs if you want
I put the added player physics setting. I'm not huge on knowing what IRL stuff looks like but idk why I just feel like it makes my game look way better trick wise tho randomly I'll hit a 'rock' and just bail (I could be wrong and it may just be placebo but idk I added it while trying to edit my settings like how Nightspeeds said the other day but I forgot which sliders he said lmao). I can't want to skate this map and I really need to learn how to make clips I just take screenshots
I hate the trend that extreme sports games have now where the maps are lifeless… mod maps I understand but official in game maps I think should have life in them for full priced games cmon

That global illumination is trash.
a guy dedicates is free time to develop a FREE map which is literally bigger than anything we have in session with traffic, pedestrians etc.. and all you have to say is that the "global illumination is trash"? deliver your thoughts to the dev and give tips how he can improve it, that would help a lot more

thought the lighting was a bit off too, but after trying it, he actually added a slider in the option to change the intensity of the shadows, which balances everything way better

Yes, slow or fast flicks determine how the pop shuvs work. Just like slow or fast flicks for Ollie's, rocket or boned
