Hey Matt, I would but as you wade through my channel you’ll see I learned how to make my own ZM terrain. So giving GW more money (as the kits are now way more costly that when I bought them) wasn’t really what I wanted to spend. 👍🏼
Fantastic video series! You solved a lot of problems in these videos that ultimately just drove me towards glued down tiles. Just as an FYI, the elevators are designed to lock in place via the teeth in the floor on the zone mortalis tiles vs into the column directly. Blu tack gets the job done though.
Thanks! Ok, I totally did not know that about the elevators. I probably should have played with the tiles a bit more before I returned them. Thanks for that info!
Great tips! I am glad I did not build my zone mortalis pile before I saw this. I like your color scheme too and would really like to see a tutorial on how you painted your terrain.
Thanks Christopher. I’m planning a painting video in the future but am having to wait for the weather. Until this U.K. rain stops I can’t film or spray outside!
I found if you give the ladders some form of base at the bottom they stay stable enough well remaining modular, you can still knock it over but that’s gonna happen no matter what
Great video I’m planning to magnetise my columns so the elevator can be fixed with a mag but the ladders you’ve saved me some ball ache there so Thankyou 😅
@@thestateofplay2023 No work at all. the Collums have places for magnets and the elevator was easy work. i put some magnets in some collums and walls and so i can just scatter some details over the board
Thanks for this, your Munda videos have been great, would love to see you revisit them with some of the new terrain thats come out.

This is great. I've found ladders to be the most frustrating part of the kit. Really good solution with clip on.
Again, thank you!
Love this way to solve the ladders... thanks a lot for this idea
Always a pleasure!

I can't wait to see your suggestions for the sector mechanicus platforms 😸
All terrain should have holes underneath, I say! 🤣
great!

That’s a good shout. But with these ones. You can’t knock them over. 👍🏼
How about gluing a thin piece of plastic sheet to the bottom of the elevator. This piece would then slide under the column to hold it in place.
It could work if it didn’t interfere with how both column and elevator attached.

That a lot of work drilling mag holes. I got lazy and used Blu Tack! 🤣

Would adding some heavy weight to the base of the elevator be enough to let it stand upright?
They already stand upright very well. Adding something extra would change the height (even by a few mm) and then they would fit exactly. 👍🏼
You're actually a wizard, I hope you know that
🤣🤣 I wish. First thing I’d do is start turning things to gold!!
@@thestateofplay2023 you're already turning these kits into gold 😉
What’s the measurements on the L shape? 4x4 mm?
Yes I believe it’s 4mm on both
Did you consider double sided adhesive tape, or was that not strong enough?
Strong enough, yes. But that would rip off the paint. Or leave sticky residue. Or both.
Can't find the L shape extruded polystyrene rods anywhere.
In the U.K. I got mine from scalemodelshop. Not sure where you are but railway model shops might have them.
I found 5/32 L shape styrene rods at Hobbylinc in USA and will try/play around with those.
