Would be interesting to know if Will and Boris also thought about taking the northern route or if it was not an option at the time they were in a place to take it. But for now, sail on and catch the few boats in front!
They did 2 years ago and lost big time. This time they wanted to compete with the best of the best and that is primarily why they took the southern way.
They thought about taking the northern route. But it was a "60:40 decision" for south ;)

I can well understand why you chose the southern route. For the next Vende Globe, it is important to make Seaexplorer fast for lighter weather🤙 and to trim her optimally. She is the safest and fastest in heavy weather. So, good luck and good luck to Martinique 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
