My dad just got diagnosed with FSGS and he’s in end stage renal failure. In dialysis as we speak. We had to leave the last hospital AMA and immediately take him to a hospital that we got the diagnosis from. I 100% blame the last hospital. Let’s just say IV contrast and many nephrotoxic meds were involved, but they claimed no FSGS as my dad continued to deteriorate
He is 64. No drugs use. No alcohol. Did smoke 1/2 pack a day. All he did was go to work , manual labor every day, and took many NSAIDs to survive chronic pain and no one told him to stop taking any meds and he had 3 IC contrasts since September

Question: Why MCD patients are more prone to infections while they are not losing Globulins (selective proteinuria). Thanks.
Few of them will lose globulin.
Moreover, steroids are immunosuppressants.
can FSGS be nephritic? because it has hematuria and hypertention

Why in focal segmental glomeulosclerosis we have hematuria but in minimal change disease we don’t?
Probably because focal segmental is more severe (more extensive damage to glomeruli).

It’s not the normal pressure that needs explanation, but the abnormal one.
