Best car I've ever had . Bought it for 1.000 pounds 38 000 on the clock .never brokedown comfortable car . .4 door in white . Wish I never got rid of it with 120.000 miles on the clock . This when cars were cars .a true classic. .if they made them again I would have another one . Good old Datsuns
the 120Y was such an underrated car. It was the best handling car I have driven, so precise, and a smaller turning circle than a Mini. Datsun made great cars back then. They looked different and had all the mod-con's included in the price. For many years I had Datsun / Nissan's, (200B, C20, 120Y, Bluebird, Pulsar) Nowadays, cars in each size range all look the same, now Nissan start off selling a base model, and everything is an extra. I looked at one priced "From $16,990", but by the time it was ready for the road, the way I would have wanted it, it was a long way from. Drive away price...about $22,000. Now I drive a Kia. (my 5th).
+Andrew Howden The hell are you on about? I've only ever encountered ONE teenage boy who owned a Datsun, and it was already destroyed by the previous owner. If anything, the kid was trying to bring it back to life, as he removed the plasti-dip and shitty bondo jobs the last guy did. Now old Corollas on the other hand, that's a different story.
