I enjoy watching a Christian family working together. My daddy was a career butcher. He’s retired now from brookshire’s but he started out at a processing plant. I got to see the kill, slaughter and then butchering. Hence my interest in watching cattle. I enjoy your videos bc of the way you two carry on with one another in a playful fussy kinda manner. Lol that sky is absolutely beautiful!
I love your channel. This world needs more christians on social media and a family that works hard together is a wonderful thing to see. Cody run for President you got my vote. This world needs you! A Christian hard working family man like you is just what we need! Keep Ranchin
This mak s me think of the cowboys just moseying along on their horses checking out the cattle. You just use a truck instead. Always have to laugh listening to you two banter back and forth. Erica singing "You Are My Sunshine", was funny 😂🤣. Especially when she hit the high 🎵. Love you guys Keep Ranchin
Started seeing your shorts videos and just love to laugh along with you two. Now I subscribe cause you bring a smile to my face and warmth to the heart. God bless you both. Look forward to watching the full videos now
On our dairy farm we bred Holstein heifers to a Hereford bull. They would have small calves and less problems after calving. Loved seeing little white faced calves. Every once in awhile would have a red also. Our neighbors bull got in with our heifers one day. Charolais and Holstein was a weird cross.
He is correct most accidents happen within 5 miles from the house I know first hand and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and it saved my life because if I didn’t get ejected thru the back window of my pickup they said I wouldn’t be here to live another day if I was strapped in Still broke my back but glad to be here to watch your videos
I just want to say , you guys make me smile and say I'm so grateful to b from the U.S.A. please do not be negative towards these hard working America's . Keep RANCHING yall !!!
I love you guys , great parents. You put God first, and a little comedy never hurt anyone. Yall Texans are a different breed. Respect and Love from East Tennessee
Good explanation about the neighbor's breeding choice. When my folks began raising cattle, they had nothing except Herefords. Dad wasn't to thrilled with them. So they switched to Black Angus. After a decade or so of having straight Angus, dad sold the Black Angus bull, and replaced it with a Simmental bull. For the next 40 years (until my folks fully retired) they continued to breed Black Angus with Simmental. (IMO, it made for some very nice cattle.)
When we lived in Killeen TX (2017) helping our DIL with grandkids while our son was overseas we went to Gatesville. Loved the museum, the spur collection and many other great items. We ate at J&M’s Country BBQ, I believe. We really loved our year in Texas. The people were friendly everywhere we traveled from the panhandle to Port Isabel on the Gulf. We live in South Carolina but believe everyone should visit TX.
just found this channel couple days ago and now cannot stop watching. love the content as it really takes me back to simpler times and childhood. at the time it was not simple but now really miss it. lol.
Coming from Kentucky I would love to have this part of your job there's nothing like seeing cattle grow and change daily. I think it takes a special kind of person to do the job and be great at it. Great video
,Much respect to you, you've both worked hard to get where you are at. When you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. Thank you for what you do.Looking forward to being able to shack both your hands some day. God bless the Bar 7 Ranch
Bless you guys such a great story about the name. So good you are living out your dream of ranching. God will reward you for your diligence with looking after other peoples cattle with better and greater things (ranchers) in your life. You are an inspiration to me.

I just now found your channel and I absolutely love this content much better than Tik Tok’s. Not to say that your Tik Tok’s aren’t good, just this is more informative bc it’s more lengthy of course lol
Love y'all's videos. Just letting you know, the audio is only coming out of one side (the right side). I double checked to see if it was my headphones and it wasnt. So maybe a finger was over a mic or the audio file got funky during processing......but just letting y'all know 👍☺️
Hi guys, thanks for taking us along on your journey. My question is… How often are those cattle fed cubes? Does someone else come out other times during the week with the supplements? It sure didn’t look like enough feed for that many cattle. Very interesting contraption But watching everybody run to get one little bite was confusing :-) y’all keep ranch in❣️
Thanks for taking us along with y'all... cattle raisin is a little different in every region of the U.S. What's the rule of thumb when calculating how many cattle per acre or acres per cow in central Tx.?? Rainfall dictates the numbers I'll bet.
Hey Folks, thanks for another great video. I find you guys from the shorts and now can't stop watching yall. Hello from Cali, I work in tech and love your guys videos and ranch. Making me want to get a ranch. P.S. Cody is my spirit animal, he is super funny and he is always rite. haha lol . JK I am joking. But Cody is the definition of Chuck Norris, if you Google search, Chuck Norris Cody will appear. Also Cody Norris is my spirit animal. Can't wait to see more videos and watch this channel grow to 1 MIli.
The Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried and dead 3 days. God rose Him from the dead. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Believe on Jesus Christ and call out to Him before it's too late
Great explanation of the --7 brand choice! Our family's brand was "LC", with the bottom line of the "L" connecting to the center of the "C"...if that makes sense. I'm not tech savvy enough to know how to actually type the actual shape of the brand. The "L" and "C" came from the first letters of my parent's first names. My folks not only used that brand on their cattle... they also had it pinstriped onto the side of our pickup flatbeds.😎
I really appreciate y’all making this video it was very informative an entertaining. I really enjoy these types of videos and the cleaners, if you have any tips on how someone who’s also interested in working with cattle could land a job like this please share
Subscribed. LOL. I grew up in Nebraska (non farm) and played football for Bellevue high. I always wondered why all the scrawny wiry farm guys were so strong. They were so deceptive in upper arm strength. They weren't fast, but I hated playing those teams. Now I know why. haha
I miss the farm life. Back in '85, I was told to find another job because my Uncle was fed up with farming and was selling out. We were milking about 125 head at the time. I was 18 at the time with no credit. I've been in a factory ever since.
I noticed that the dash switch for your siren appears to have a "molded raised" area around it. So was the switch and siren installed by the truck dealer...or is it an aftermarket item that you installed yourself? My dad and I had sirens in our pickups. But they were aftermarket items that we installed.
-7 is where it's at. Can't wait get my merchandise on its way. I'll do a video in my new hat in shirt when I get. Maybe one day I'll be working for Cody at the -7 Mtn boy turn to cowboy!
lol I love that stat about accidents happening within 5 miles of home. It’s said to sound like it can happen when you least suspect it but it’s just a numbers game. Yes you’re more likely to wreck on a road you travel 100 times more than others.

Would be great if Cody could share some entrepreneurial insights on how to get started in buying/starting businesses
What’s the best way to get started in the cattle farm where would one start from the beginning?

What do you mean a counter?
And what number you count to and what does the counting mean in reference to the feed
I do love me a Storms Hamburger. Best in Texas.

Seven is a very common number mentioned in the Bible also. Not one bit surprised “7” is y’all’s number. ❤️✝️💪🏻
Thanks for taking us on the rounds ❤
My fav number is 7 too!! High five ✋🏻

How many acres is the Bar7 Ranch?
