RiPP2_The_Core, it is a fantastic career. I loved it. It broke my heart when I could no longer physically do the job. My back took me out early. Even after 4 years, I still miss it. Thank goodness for YT!

i have been an OR RN for going on 25 years
i encourage all new nurses to consider this very specialized patient care
it is demanding...
but more rewarding than anything else you may choose to do with your career...!!

Scrub techs can circulate. It depends on the state you practice in. Aorn tries to push techs out of the circulating roles. New nurses have to be trained to scrub mostly by techs. Most new nurses have a very small amount of scrub training. The are two very separate roles.
