I've always loved the fist fight scenes in Uncharted 3 but there was no way to access them quickly or find them on UA-cam. I decided to upload them here
@@dirtyfighters7751 Retirement had Nate basically admit that, like Sam, large falls were harder than before, forget how to dodge on the spot, fight armoured enemies without having to take their helmets off first. Come on now.
@@supersbbrawl4ever Large falls weren't exactly "harder". It's just that the game decided to tackle a more "realistic" and "grounded" style that makes Nate's movements and struggles more intuitive. If they didn't downplay the gameplay, than Nate would have 0 issue tanking those falls. Heck Nate survived a point-blank near-direct grenade to the face in Uncharted 4 and survived being rammed through an entire wall by an armoured military truck. So, again, blame the "realistic" nature the game decided to tackle. I remember there being a video (I can't find it anymore) where it showed Nate in the caves in Soctland from Uncharted 4, and there are areas where you can make Nate fall around 40 feet from the air onto solid ground, yet he easily gets back-up. So no, retirement did not effect him. He forgot the ability to dodge? That's funny, because in the Rafe sword fight the fight literally starts with you being forced to dodge his attacks until you eventually grab him. Then the entirety of the fight resolves around parrying his attacks, even after insane combos. That also doesn't explain the fact that certain holds enemies place you into require Nate to catch their attacks so they don't hit you. Like if you gun-butt an enemy he will sometimes catch your gun and try striking you in the gut, but Nate notices this and catches his fore-arm before he can land the hit. There's another hold, where Nate tries slashing an enemy across the face, but he catches it and tries slashing you back but Nate ends-up catching his arm too. So it's not that he forgot how to dodge, he was DOWNGRADED to make the game for fair and fun. Which I am left mixed on, but that doesn't matter. The armoured enemies apply the same rule, downgraded. Because look at how they prevent Nate from attacking them, they push kick him away. Now remove their helmets and what do they do? Nothing. They don't even bother push kicking Nate away to deal with him. So, again, downgraded. Also, pay close attention to Nate's design and his new fighting moves. Nate appears to be more buffed-out and larger than he was in the prior games, which doesn't happen naturally when you're 34-37 years old. He also uses newer more advanced fighting moves. While he was largely limited to choke-holds and back-hands from the prior games, he starts using Jiu-Jitsu fighting moves to disarm enemies. Specifically the Kotegaeshi, a deadly wrist-lock. He also uses arm-bars, which reminds me of Sam Fisher, and he also uses a number of other Jiu-Jitsu moves. I forgot their names though, sorry. Also, you seriously think he's very rusty and incapable of achieving prior feats because of a 3 year retirement? Really? 3 years is a while, sure, but it's nothing when compared to other people. There have been boxers in retirement for over 40 YEARS yet when they returned they easily beat the crap out of a lot of modern boxers. What's 3 years compared to 40 years? And Nate's a very experienced dude, almost everyone hired him to do a job for them and a lot of the time he was fighting for his life, so I struggle to believe a 3-year long retirement on Nate left him rusty.
Another factor is that Nadine is MILITARY TRAINED mercenary, which I’ll let it slide and my only complaint is that the shoreline Mercs doesn’t have characteristic like different appearance compare to the early concepts.
@@GeneralWestern17 It doesn't matter how trained she is. Weight and size is going to hold her back. She would put up a good fight against Nate no doubt, I don't think she is weak AT ALL. but Nate is also very trained and has a lot of experience fighting mercenaries. Plus he has size and weight advantage. He would win in the end 9 times out of 10. If we throw both Nate and his brother into it, she doesn't stand a change. Even if she was a man and bigger than both the drake brothers. It's almost impossible to fight two people at once it just doesn't happen. Also remember Nate's brother was in a Panamanian prison for years I'm sure he's really tough. Nadine is definitely tough, but she spent her time leading an army instead of like Nate having to fight on his own and didn't have an army. Nate couldn't even block I'm uncharted 4. I'm not one of those anti sjw types I find those people usually hatefull and annoying. But it's obvious they made Nadine woop Nate to show female strength and I don't think that's how you show it. You don't weaken male characters to make woman looks strong that's offensive in itself. Physical fighting ability isn't the only way to show a strong woman. It would of been just find portraying Nadine as an extremely capable leader like she was. Modern movies and games tend to treat strong woman as basically men and that is not helpful. It's sending a message to young girls that to be a strong woman you have to act like a man and I just don't like it. Strong independent woman don't go around needing to prove it by beating up men. They don't need validation that comes across as more incecurity, But that's how they are protrayed nowadays. Anyways I'm done with my rant, thanks if anyone reads this lol.
This is what a game should be like!! Fighting bad guys with this EPIIIIIC MUSIC ! THIS GAME IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!! I LOVE UNCHARTED 3 SO MUCH ON THE PS3 !!!
It's "Nadine" and they did that on purpose I'm sure it was for "strong female character" points. And neil druckmann had that idea And drake took out people with military training so that scene made no sense
U3 story emphasising that after U2 events nathan and elena spent time enough to the point of trying marriage. i guess at some point she met his colleagues and friends.
lot of things in uncharted 3 are just not explained: why talbot didn't die when he got shot in the chest by cutter, how cutter didn't die from that fall, what is the significance of those spiders, wtf is going on with iram of the pillars and the water, why talbot is so fast (he's a superhuman developed by marlowe, is my theory) etc etc and i left out a bunch of things. that being said, it's still a very good game
The fact that he’s casually LAUNCHING guys into the air with his uppercut is insane. That amount of force will cause MAJOR damage and maybe even death.
The mechanics are so realistic that it doesn't make you feel powerful while punching a horde of men , but puts you in a position if you were in this fight and what you will do . While punching down he falls and grabs his stomach, like he is beat down
UC4 Nathan should’ve beaten Nadine, but this Nathan would’ve demolished her 10 times over.
I want to believe if Nathan didn't retired 3 years he would have kicked Nadine's ass
@@smoker5989 Retirement certainly didn't play a factor to Nate. He was still destroying mercenaries' asses in the game.

@@dirtyfighters7751 My point is that Nate in 4 is a bit slower. And that Naughty Dog got reeeallly inconsistent with the dodging mechanics.

Nate: can take on 10 Agents in a market
Also Nate: can’t land a SINGLE punch on Nadine
@Lee 80s Definitely due to feminism. Just look at how messy the development of the game was with their female characters and especially Nadine.
@Lee 80s Yeah, TLoU II made it blatantly obvious...
It's because she's a strong independent waman

Someone explain why Nate lost to Naddie in that embarasing way. I know naddie might have some military training, but not even one hit?
It’s a “Game” that’s why- Feminism at its finest.
Uncharted 3 nate would of schooled nadine

So Nadine being train doesn't make her special because all the other mercenaries were.

Ikr, maybe because he’s a known treasure hunter and/or is the leader of the gangs in London
Maybe because they were all affiliated at some point. Could've been a close colleuge with Nate and Elena met him somewhere down the road
