Hi, i really like your videos! I just have two questions regarding something that you said in your video. The first one is, if it's mandatory for a non-EU doctor to work for three years in a EU country to be able to apply for the indirect recognition process, is it possible to do those three years while you work as a "resident doctor under medical supervision"? Do those 3 years have to already be done by the time you start working as that resident doctor, or can you just start working and count 3 years of that work for the indirect recognition process? And my other question is do you get paid while you work as that resident doctor under medical superivison? Thank you so much for the video, I'd love it if you could awnser me!
Thank you for this great information, however I would like to ask, I am an African currently studying in Belarus. I would like to migrate to Switzerland after my studies which will be in 2023, how do I begin the process of applying for recognition and do i have to migrate to Switzerland immediately after my studies?
What is the level of difficulty of obtaining the place as a resident with a B2 level of German? Are there many people trying to enter and few positions or is it rather easy?
I'm a Nigerian doctor. How do I know if my country is recognized by switzerland? The website you projected in your video, is there the english version?
You must have a b2 level before you get here. Swiss German ist different from high German but many Swiss speak high German with foregneirs automatically. The only way to learn Swiss German is to be here and hear it on a daily basis. I found I could understand Swiss German after 2 to 3 months of working here. You don't have to speak Swiss German. You just have to understand it.
Hi Dr Radu, nice video 💐. Please let’s know how can a doctor from India start the process for getting a job in Switzerland who has not worked in EU before? Vielen dank 🙏💐
Hello, do you know if to prove your language, the mebeko accepts a course certificate as prove of knowledge or do the certificate must be of one of the international exams?
How do I know if I should apply to a C 1,2,3 or a D or a B hospital, I am looking for hospitals but don't understand to which should I apply for my first job in Switzerland
Thank you so much for this video! Radu, what about internship ( specialisation after Diploma)? For example person got medical Diploma, passed an internship on surgery in non EU country and wants to be a surgeon in Swizerland. Please tell about it in your video. If there any extra exams/study for certain speciality or just preparation of the documents you`re got outside of EU?
he has no idea, because he himself is not a specialist yet. you will have to retrain in switzerland and its not worth it. The surgical fields are oversaturated and even if they let you finish the specialty here - it will take ages. not worth it
Hello Radu! Thank you so much for sharing your information. I also have the same question as a person below (Aca Debeljkovic) and was wondering where can I find information about the test that I have to pass? I'm not EU citizen either, and just graduated from my university (so didn't work for 3 years neither). Maybe they would count this work time in Switzerland? I'd really appreciate it if you could give an answer. Thanks in advance!
I have the same question. I'm from Sri Lanka, but i graduated from Moscow state medical university, Russia. But I'm a dental degree holder. But it's very difficult to find a video related to dental programmes in Switzerland.

Hey Radu, thank you for the video! I am a EU citizen who studied medicine in Turkey. I have several questions about the procedure. When we give away those papers for the recognition to Mebeko, which time do we have to pass the eidgenössische Prüfunfg?? As soon as they write back or after how many years are people obligated to pass the exam? How long does it take fot them to answer after giving them our curriculum? What I also couldn’t find online was, how to prepare for the EP. I know that there is a bedside exam, but is there a multi choice exam aswell? Last but not least, I would want to know, what you think about rather choosing ond of these options, since I am an EU citizen without a EU degree, I am wondering which way to choosr. 1)getting the degree recpgnised and working for 3 years in Germany and then switching to Sw. Or 2) starting to opt for Sw. Rightaway?

Thank you finally I found some information! I am a British citizen who graduated from university in Ukraine, I passed my b2 German and sent documents for recognition to MEBEKO. Now I am applying in different hospitals for job as Unterassistentärtzin. Is this the right step or should I apply for some other job?
@@l9003 Hello MEBEKO does not directly recognise Ukrainian diploma, it requires 3 Years experience here as Assistentzärzt, then writing the state exam or like you mentioned , studying a masters program. However, if you had some experience from Ukraine, I believe that could help.

Hi Radu really appreciate all your work! I am an EU medical student hoping to work in the French speaking kanton Switzerland after graduation. Ive heard you mentioned in other videos how the french speaking areas are more difficult to get jobs in than the german. I have C1 level French but am wondering apart from getting my degree recognized in Switzerland, what other aspects of getting a job in Switzerland do I need to give attention to. For example should I try and do an elective out there for my resume or do you know any non-swiss doctors working in the french kanton and how they managed it? I appreciate I am bombarding you with loads of questions! Anyway, any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Love the channel :)
the french speaking cantons are simply smaller, France is a big country - hence the higher competition. I would not advise you to come to switzerland at all, as all they do is to use and abuse foreign doctors to work crazy hours and be paid less than the locals, with no remuneration / free time for the overtime hours you do. If you still want to try it - do something as a student beforehand, so you can put it on your CV. it is also important which field you want to apply to - in the surgical or narrower fields it will be almost impossible for you, simply because it is a very small country and they sometimes only have just 1 specialized department in the canton. Better do your specialty training in France - a big country, with big hospitals, a lot to see and learn from and a lot to choose from, maybe a rotation in Canada or so. Switzerland is a countryside all over, people with village mentality and very restricted options when it comes to professional development. Not to mention, that a lot is done on a friendship / neighbour / nepotism basis, because everyone knows everyone else. Do not waste your time.

You work 50 hours a week in Switzerland as an assistant doctor. Free time is rather limited. However in some cases you have the option of working 80% which means you have one week off per month or one day off per week. I feel like that is the perfect balance between work and free time.

Hi radu, I have a doubt and would be very great ful if you could answer it I am a non European (India) and i am currently pursuing my medical degree from Italy, what would be the procedure for me proceed? Do I also would have to take the exam or will my degree be easily recognised Thank you
@@estxhumetiku4017 if you are going to get your degree on Italy due to the new changes of the Laurea Abilitante since 2020 we were taking by Indirect Recognition ( 3 years + Stadt Exam ) but last year Mebeko said that for Italian Graduates is gonna apply only 2 years and not Stadt Exam. So you can apply using MedReg and after of complete 2 years you will have Mebeko.

Hi radu, I have a doubt and would be very great ful if you could answer it
I am a non European (India) and i am currently pursuing my medical degree from Italy, what would be the procedure for me proceed? Do I also would have to take the exam or will my degree be easily recognised
Thank you
Hello.I had the same question as you.If you got any information about this it could help me so much, thank you!
Hello Radu! First of all I would like to thank you for your videos, they are very interesting and useful. I would like to ask you in which medical field (in which specialization) it is easiest in Switzerland to get a job for doctors from other countries? (especially for young doctors who have just finished their studies)
Psychiatry and Gynecology are 2 fields where you can find a job easily. However you must speak very good German to get the job in Psychiatry
