How can you tell that a dress's straps are built this way BEFORE tearing the dress open? It looks easy enough if the dress is built with the end of the straps in the bust lining. I need to alter my bridesmaid dress and the wedding is too soon to buy a new dress if I mess up.
A huge majority of dresses are made this way, if it looks like the strap is embedded in any seam running along the neckline her back line, then most likely this is gonna be the way that is constructed however, any time you open a dress to go inside you should always be able to just close that seam without having to make any major changes and still be able to wear it so I wouldn’t worry too much.
This is so fucken smart! I would’ve never thought of this😅
This was very helpful.
What type of hem do you prefer for the lining

Great instructions! Please less camera movement during close-ups. ❤️

Don't you sew the under stitches again?
