Collin Street Bakery has been baking their internationally renowned DeLuxe fruitcakes for 125 years. Almost 1/3 of every cake is made of pecans - the state nut (and tree) of Texas! Trying one should be on every Texan’s bucket list, but don’t stop at just the fruitcake.
Across the Street Diner has been serving Corsicanans for over a century. Beginning its life as Hashop’s Pharmacy and Soda Fountain, Across the Street now serves a global range of culinary options, including charcuterie, seafood, steaks, and Wolf Brand Chili.
Food Belly is the only Indian restaurant Navarro County - but that’s okay, because everything they serve is incredible! Their most well-known dish is probably the tikka masala pizza, but with a menu as extensive as theirs, you can’t really go wrong with any choice. Be wise with your spice level!
Navarro College is a public, comprehensive two-year community college with four campuses. The main campus is in Corsicana and is home to the best cheerleading program in the world! Think you’ve got what it takes to “make mat?”
The mission of The Pearce Museum at Navarro College is to connect with the past by engaging visitors through personal perspectives of the Civil War and the American West - with a little ancient mystery thrown in! Located on the main campus of Navarro College, the museum is home to several permanent collections, including the enigmatic “Malakoff Man.”
The Richland-Chambers Reservoir is the best place around for catching “hybrid striper” bass, as well as catfish, crappie, and white bass. If you find yourself “having a day” (like Chet does during the episode) make sure you adhere to the appropriate TPWD limits. Don’t mess with Texas lakes!

My dad went to Malakoff high school and they used to play against Corsicana. He has spoken more than once about that amazing fruitcake.
I went to Malakoff Elementary and one of the Malakoff Man stones was displayed in our foyer for a long time. My dad was the school principal so I got to spend hours studying the markings on the stone when no one was around.
I am British and grew up on delicious fruit cake, we use it for Christenings, Weddings & Christmas. Sorry to say The tin was better than the cake inside. YUK!
The cherry ice box cookies there are AMAZING.

I have the recipe, I make them 3 to 4 times a year. I triple the recipe. Everybody loves them in my family. I make'em then barely get any. My family being pigs & gobbling then all up!!!😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤

Do your history before you go. The officer is a hero. First officer down in the Dallas shooting. The old restaurant downtown has changed ownership 9000 times. Not the original. Ross Ramey is a hoss when it comes to hunting and fishing. Should have went to the Lefty Frizzle museum. Way more history there than a new Indian restaurant.
The Lefty museum is very sparse but cool. We left a few things out. And we knew about the officer but didn't feel it was disrespectful. Every statue is a person with a history and we didn't have time to tell them. Hopefully folks will learn that on their own as they explore.
The Indian restaurant is awesome. I hope youve been.

Went to this small town to do an inventory job. Our crew was from inter city Austin and decided to shoplist. Wrong. That black cop picked that kid up and body slammed for having a smart mouth . I'll never forget the cop saying "we don't talk like that around women in our town"

Chicken Tikka Masala is really a British and Indian dish which is fine but it's just not really that authentic.
I don't know how you come here and have anything good to say about it. You had to try very hard to avoid the overwhelming poverty and the crumbling houses and roads.
Focus on the bright spots and more light will pour in.
Their streets are too narrow. 4 lanes wide going 2 directions. Literally 2 inches between mirrors. , makes the navel pucker.

Corsicana is in a dry county, this is a killer for population these days simple and true fact I spent a week there and all I heard was how backwards the city and county were..
