I really want to thank you for doing this series of videos. This has been a great help!!
Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching!
Gday, don’t feel bad about not seeing the key had moved, that type of thing happens quite often here, this is going to be a beautiful machine when it done, I’m really enjoying this series mate, at this stage I’ll have you sticker in the next video, cheers
Thanks, Matty. Yeah, recording all this and playing it back makes me cringe sometimes. Nothing like reliving a mistake!
Great! Thanks! Greatings from the netherlands.
Welcome!
Oh man. You had to pull the table again after all that. I guess on the bright side at least you caught it.
Rookie move. What can I say. 😉
@@MyLilMule Nah. That was just Mr. Murphy hanging out in your shop staying warm. He was bored and figured he would mess with you. I know this because that is what he does when he visits me. LOL!
Nice !
Use a short drill to drill the bussings!
I need to get a set of stubby drills.
The spring loaded crank handle goes on the power-feed side. Unless your machine has spring loaded cranks on both sides? Thanks for the video
Yes it does
Recently on my Bridgeport, when milling a .070 channel into some steel with a ball nose endmill, going back and forth on the x-axis, I'm getting a little play in the y-axis by the ends of the channel, when I switch directions on the x-axis, even though the gibs are tightened down by the Y. Instead of a straight channel, it's a little bit bulbous, and slightly enlarged by the ends of the channel due to what I assume is table slash, when I go back and forth. I'm able to physically wobble my table slightly. Is there any way to tighten a table down, there won't be any table slash?. Excellent videos by the way.
I think I just realized it's adjusting the Gibbs. Started doing that , already helping a lot. Been using the mill for 5 years, I'm so ridiculous.
@@naasehvnishmaJH87 It's a perpetual learning process. I was going to suggest looking at your gibs. But keep in mind that if the gib was loose, you MAY have uneven wear on the gib, and you may still have issues that might require fixing the gib. I have learned it's important to check these from time to time.
No music during the video
Question for you I have the same power feed for my machine the issue is my screw shaft does not look like that on the end there for I can not install my power feed if anyone has run into this issue please let me knos
I don't really have an answer for you not knowing what your lead screw looks like.
I cringed when you hand drilled the feed nuts...not that it didn't turn out OK...just knew it was coming 🤦♂️
I got lucky. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again. 😂
