It's sad to see the wrestlers from my generation leaving, but I'm glad Edge got the chance to be at peace with career and go out the way he deserved to.
At least we had another run from him one more time because honestly I never thought I would ever again see him in that ring. So we are lucky and should be thankful for that. Sadly times goes on and we get old or many of these guys like Edge would be doing this forever.

For anyone confused, Edge didn't announce that this was his final match, just that this was the last match he will be having in Toronto. He said he doesn't think he has it in him to keep going long enough for them to make the rounds back there. I know I read the title and assumed it meant he was retiring right now but it sounds like he's just planning on this being his last year.
Edge had such a great career with Wwe, remember watching all the tag matches and Solo runs. My brother and I use to wrestle on our trampoline as kids pretending to be Edge and Christian. Thank you for years of entertainment Edge and hope your future endeavors lead to nothing but happiness and success!

Edge is one of my favorites and I'm gonna miss him but I kind of made peace with him being gone after he retired due to his neck injury back in 2011. Better to go out on a high note than to keep pushing yourself and have everyone worried you're killing yourself. Look at how Undertaker finally retired. He just kept going way past his time. You're body can only take this for so long. The truth is that the wrestling is all about the new talent. Edge got to have his come back which is more than a lot of people can say. For every Edge hanging it up we have people like Io Sky just getting started. I'm just as excited for the new talent as I am sad to see Edge go.

A perfect 50/50, a great sign of respect from one to the another. And i'm happy Edge won the final attack. It's probably his last victory, but i hope not the last match. I think he wants to go away passing the torch to someone and giving him a big push. Edge career ends, but another great one career may begin! Ps: thank you for having made the Judgement Day!

When he returned, I was so elated & I wanted him to face either Cena/Orton on some major PPv. Sadly, that never happened but nevertheless, I enjoyed every storyline he was a part of post his return & could never thank him enough for whatever he gave to this company & also to us as an wrestling loving audience. Saw Edge and Christian (as Adam Copeland and Sexton Hardcastle) wrestle the opening match of a house show in Hamilton like 26 years ago, then saw Christian debut at "Breakdown: IYH" in Hamilton a few months later. Obviously would be cool for them to do one last match (together or against each other, either way) but that's unlikely, so... if this Sheamus match ISN'T his final match, hopefully something gets put together that means something to him (a baton pass to another young wrestler, something like that).

Saw Edge and Christian (as Adam Copeland and Sexton Hardcastle) wrestle the opening match of a house show in Hamilton like 26 years ago, then saw Christian debut at "Breakdown: IYH" in Hamilton a few months later. Obviously would be cool for them to do one last match (together or against each other, either way) but that's unlikely, so... if this Sheamus match ISN'T his final match, hopefully something gets put together that means something to him (a baton pass to another young wrestler, something like that).
