@@Lilquan2004 that's a good question, and I personally like Reese over Edwards but I think Washington will take Edwards in this scenario. I think Edwards has a more advanced offensive game than Reese at this point (mainly her mid-range shot and she's a little better in the post and on drives to the basket). They'll need more scoring since Elena Delle Donne is sitting out this year (or maybe she's retiring?).
I think you add up the pluses and minuses of each one you get the same score but the points will come from different areas for each one, comes down to gut feeling and how you think each will develop in the first 3-4 years.
I want Chicago Sky get and Draft Kamilla Cardoso , Center From South Carolina 3 Round pick we want 7 Round pick Chicago Sky get and Draft Angel Reese Forward, Form LSU
I think Caitlin will probably start off averaging about 18-19 a game as a rookie then will make a jump in years 2 and 3 if previous top picks are any indication.
I think Chicago really wants to get Reese, and that they traded to get the 7th pick to make sure that they get her. One change I would make would be to take Rickea Jackson as the 3rd pick over Cardoso, as most people have Cardoso going 3rd. ...Now would be the ideal time for the WNBA to open four new franchises. That would add an additional 48 players to the league. Any recommendations for cities? Columbia, South Carolina and Des Moines, Iowa would really do well as long as they drafted some players from the Universities of South Carolina and Iowa, respectively, I believe. I also think Austin, Texas and Baton Rouge would do well.
Sparks already have multiple posts that can stretch the floor that stand 6’4. The biggest issue with them from what I understand is rim protection. They can’t risk losing Cardoso to someone else. You get her at 2 or risk drafting a big that resembles the ones you already have. Also it’s hard for me to envision Brink being a rim protector at the professional level being so light in the pants and standing just 6’4 herself regardless of her college stats. If Brink can improve on her size and strength why didn’t she do it the last 4 years in college? She’s had the same build for 4 years. It’s a grown woman league and you need a grown woman in the paint now to help win now. Edwards > Reese. Very similar and playing out of position. Edwards is more consistent from midrange, better attitude, and UConn. Though Reese has better hands.
Pure guess, but NY at #11 needs a back up guard who can defend. Sabrina and Sloot got cooked on defense in each playoff series last season. You mean the one who beat Caitlin Clark in 2023 women's basketball national championship.. Queen Angel Reese has a ring..
Chicago needs Angel Reese.
Here's my prediction:
1. Indiana - Caitlin Clark, G, Iowa
2. Los Angeles - Cameron Brink, F/C, Stanford
3. Chicago - Kamilla Cardoso, C, South Carolina
4. Los Angeles - Rickea Jackson, F/G, Tennessee
5. Dallas - Isobel Borlase, G, Australia
6. Washington - Aaliyah Edwards, F, UConn
7. Chicago - Angel Reese, F, LSU
8. Minnesota - Jacy Sheldon, G, Ohio State
9. Dallas - Nyadiew Puoch, F/C, Australia
10. Connecticut - Dyaisha Fair, G, Syracuse
11. New York - Elizabeth Kitley, C, Virginia Tech
12. Atlanta - Taiyanna Jackson, C, Kansas
