    I used the same route in March…overall 70% good roads but some stretch can test you. The 2km tunnel was not available to me due to work. You saved around an hour due to this !!
    But at the end of day !!! The rivers and scenic beauty and Goa feeling makes you forget all the stress and tiredness.

    I am planning to book the Scorpio N. I have test drived on tar roads and found satisfactory. I could see a lot camera vibration in inital part of this vodeo. So asking from that perspective.I wanted your view how scorpio N rides on concrete highways. How would you rate the highway drive compared to other ladder frame the Crysta.

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  26 днів тому

      The roads were very uneven. The ride quality is pretty good for a Ladder frame SUV. Comparative to a much more expensive 4WD SUV from Toyota. Crysta is more tuned to comfort than ScorpioN. I would rate Crysta 9/10 ans ScorpioN 8/10. Comparison is strictly on highway ride quality.

      I have a Scorpio N since a year and I can tell you the shake is a lot on concrete roads. You can feel the uneveness of the road. It is pretty annoying to drive on concrete highways for long periods of time. It performs rather nice on even tar roads which you barely find on national highways. Again the car shakes but the bumps dont hurt. Such is the suspension.
      I had driven the crysta for 7 days in Goa. The difference is a lot. Its a totally different car made for passenger comfort and a much more powerful engine.
      If your driving is mainly on highways then you should be going for a crysta or xuv 700 type of a car.
      Get the Scorpio N only if the requirement is off roading. Or driving on mud roads.
      Also the behaviour of the car is such that on full load like 7 people sitting, the car feels very stable. But with 1 or 2 people the car starts to feel uncomfortably shaky.

    Bouncy ride is not because of body on frame, but the 18 inch wheels, 17 s are superb

    Hello sir, I’ll be traveling in the second week of December and wanted to check if there are any ghat sections on NH66, or if it’s all plain roads untill Goa ?

      @mukulslens  Місяць тому

      Hey, there are a total of 3 ghats if I remember. Except one all have 4 lane concrete roads. All of them are small and easy to drive on.

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  Місяць тому

      Till October end the status was the same. A total of 100kms of construction and no toll collection.

    The Karnataka-Goa road is far superior to the Mumbai-Goa road.

    Brother mera ek doubt hai jab 90 degree ka turn aata hai ya basically Jo turn hota hai kya usme mujhe clutch press karna chahiye meri car 2nd gear mein rahte hai..
    Please answer kardo bhai 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  3 місяці тому

      Assume koi traffic nahi hai. Speed slow karke jo bhi gear zaroori hai turn ke liye, 2nd ya 1st ya for 3rd usme daal ke gaadi ko turn se nikaalna chahiye. Mere hisaab se. Gaadi ko kabhi bhi turn mein clutch dabake break se zyada dur tak nahi le jana chahiye.

    Scorpio's headlights seem pretty bad. Would you consider changing to something better or leave as it is?

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  3 місяці тому +3

      The more time I spend with this car, more I realize the weakness of the headlight for the given SUV size. I will not be upgrading (adding additional lights) anytime soon since I like to keep my vehicles in stock condition. But if the upgrading of bulbs with same wattage with better throw and spread is available, I would like to explore that provided the warranty is not affected.

    I am going towards Goa tomorrow. I would be travelling to my native place in Sawantwadi.
    Do you suggest NH66 or shall I go via Pune?
    Please do let me as I have went via Pune multiple times but I haven't driven on NH66. This would be my first time.

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  2 місяці тому +1

      All the more reason to go via NH66. Trust me it's not all that bad. Yes around 100kms is under construction but the other remaining kms and the scenic beauty makes up for most of it. Highly recommend. 🙂

    Hey.. thanks for the information.. i had a doubt next month I am planning for Goa from Mumbai & use the same route that you have used. Can you pls share the toll cost charged for this route. Also which route you took from Mumbai to reach this highway

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  2 місяці тому +1

      It's free as of now. Toll Gates are not operational (last update of OCT 2024). I travelled from Andheri to NH66 via Atal Trans Harbour link.
