See, I like that Hanami wasn't defeated here. I feel like in a lot of shounen, the villains aren't taken seriously and they're clearly weaker than the heroes. In JK, the villains are just as strong and smart, and they're not mindless... they know how to preserve their lives by running when it's important. It makes the JK villains more memorable to me!
idk what shonen series you're watching but a lot of them have fantastic villains. HXH, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Jojo, Bleach, One Piece, FMA, Attack on Titan, etc. just to name a few. JJK is not unique in this regard.
Gojo twisted Jouzo with the same technique he showed to Itadori in a previous episode (Twisting the can), also notice before he warped Gojo clasped his hands together 14:53 then pressed!!! (like the way Todo claps to activate his technique)
It was actually very lucky that Gojo came to save Yuji and Todo…because they won’t stand a chance against Hanami’s domain expansion. Hanami is a relatively gentle curse compared to her friends and she wasn’t very determined to kill them for some reason(explained in the next episode).That’s why it seems that Yuji and Todo can defeat her in the fight, but actually they can’t if Hanami is being more serious.
not necessarily Todo could have swapped Yuji's position with the cursed tool, keeping Yuji outside of the Domain. as for Todo, *spoilers...* he is able to perform Simple Domain, which basically negates a Domain's can't-miss attacks

To explain what Gojo did to that coat rack: He used Cursed Technique Amplification: Blue. You see there's a slight blue tint around the edges of the screen when Jouzo's arms were getting crushed. Blue creates negative distance in reality, so the space is forced to correct itself and hence it creates an attracting effect. Gojo used Blue on his arms and legs and they attracted themselves together upon themselves, thus crushing themselves.

Maki has access to more strength due to her "restriction", although using a weapon, imbued or not, is not the best sign of pure physical strength. But as Todo points out in both anime and manga, Yuji is the strongest when it comes to physical strength(especially counting all the potential he has), implying also that pure physical strength is not Todo's ultimate trait. Right now in the manga there might be a case for Maki being the best melee fighter, although not long ago, Akutami, the author of JJK, said that Yuji was stronger than Maki. So in the anime so far Yuji is the potentially stronger one(as he still has ways to go) and Maki MIGHT be second or first. Although Todo is obviously a superior sorcerer in general.
Of course she is if we're talking about raw strength. There's only Maki and Yuji have that kind of strength. Todo's strength is at the level he is physically. Maki & Yuji = superhuman. Todo = the peak of human abilities. Captain America-style. He could be the heavyweight champion if he want 😂😂
Just want to explain the Todo 530k IQ joke for those who may be unaware. IQ is based off age with 100 being average. So if you were 20 and had an IQ of 100, that mean you know/understand as much as the average 20 year old would. So If average is 100 and Todo says his is 530k that 5300 times for than average. So it's like saying, as a 20 year old you woul know as much as someone who lived to be ~1000 years old
That's not how it works at all. It's true that iq tests are dependent on age because you cannot expect the same level of reasoning from a 5 year old as a 30 year old. However, they do not have a linearly increase in dificulty as you age. Once you are around 20 years old it remains the same
When You watch the episode a second time and you realized that Todo was misleading the opponent on purpose when he explained the specifics of his technique and Yuji trying to correct him every time but being actively ignored or shushed by Todo so as to keep the element of surprise. This show is on another level.
In my opinion gojo was always able to break the veil at any point. He wanted to watch the fight, then the moment he thought yuji and Todo would die he broke the veil and bodied them.
