I had a very bad experience with Joy Alukkas Jewellery shop at Gurgaon in 2009. I had an emergent requirement of money and decided to sell some gold jewellery purchased from their shop at Gurgaon. However when I went to their shop, they refused to take back their own gold even though they claim their gold is 91.6 % pure. I was a serving senior Army Officer and the shop people told me straight that they don’t buy back their gold but can be exchanged and I was really shocked with their attitude. I had to tell the manager that it only shows your gold quality is worse than others and that’s why even you don’t buy back your own gold. I was carrying the bills from the shop. Telling stories will not be useful to customers.
