Whyyyyyyy did that make me cry! Holy smokes. That was really peaceful and emotional at the same time. Such a beautiful and powerful song too! I’d love to have that song on my playlist. Annnnd I found him on Spotify! Instant fan. Perfect music for a sunny day.
Beautiful shots bro. Do you remember which lens you used for the scenes @ 0:10 and around 1:58? I’ve been trying to achieve that wide/shallow depth of field look for forever. Keep up the work man great stuff
Lovely footage, and the music is excellent! I got the fp recently and fell in love. I like it so much I was considering the fpL, but I am on the fence, wondering if that would be overkill. 61mp is a beast, but the fp is no slouch. I even considered getting a second fp, to have one rigged up in full and the other grab and go minimalist. Either way, I already have a second lens, the evf and lvf, and other smallrig cage. I initially got a kit with the 45mm lens and lvf. I added the evf. If I get a second sigma camera, no need to buy anything else.
Wow…I literally did what you mentioned about a week ago. I decided to get another fp. I was so impressed by my 1st fp, that I couldn’t turn down another opportunity to purchase another one. Like you said, I use one fully rigged and will plan to use the other for minimal grab and go shooting. Another thing that prompted me to pull the trigger on a 2nd fp was the price on the used market. The retail price went from $1,500 to $1,900. But you can still buy used for $1,300 on avg. I looked on the used market the other day and I put in a best offer bid for $1k, and actually won 😮. I have a strong feeling the fp is gonna go like the original bmpcc. For the longest time, you could buy the original bmpcc for about $300. Now? I can’t even find one for less than $1K, the ORIGINAL retail price for an almost decade old camera 😆.
@@MockManor Excellent! I also imagine using two fp’s for two video perspectives for my UA-cam music videos. I enjoy the slower photography/cinema style of shooting, taking my time to set up the shot manually. As far as the fpL, the only real benefit for me to choose that one is for the 61mp sensor. I think it would be amazing for landscapes. Perhaps the image improvement wouldn’t be worth the extra 1k. I don’t know. I am so close to pulling the trigger on a second fp though. It is such a fun camera, right?! Even some of the newer cameras use a 24 mp sensor, without the 12-bit raw cdng capability, and cost more. This is a camera I can see using and having around for many many years.
@@liveacousticsound Absolutely!! I totally see your point about the higher resolution on the fp L. Here’s the way I see it, I don’t think professional cameras in the late ‘90s were higher than 16 MP. And those same cameras produced stunning photography….even landscapes. As far as I’m concerned, cameras that were released 2010 and after are MORE than enough to produce fantastic images. And now, we’re blessed enough to be able to acquire a camera that produces footage that rival full blown features that were released a decade ago….up until now. I was able to buy a Fuji XT-1 for $300 (I believe it’s 16MP) and the images coming out of that camera are still insane. At this point, I have everything I need. Now it’s all about having fun, experimenting, and mastering the art of producing great imagery and footage. ✊🏾
Regarding your footage here: I really enjoy watching this, because it hits home with me. I spend a lot of time alone playing my guitars, and I try to take it wherever I go. In your video, this young lady has her guitar with her in spite of the snow, and I imagine it was cold out that day. I just wish it were as beautiful where I live. This video makes me wish I was young again. It inspires me to reflect and to appreciate the alone time with nature. Perhaps it moves me because this young lady makes me think about my oldest daughter Aubrey, who died a couple years ago. Anyway, thanks for sharing your footage. Looking forward to seeing more.
Good job with the Helios! I love everyting about this video! ❤️ Also I am wondering if the colours look like this right after opening the raw files in Resolve (presumably in the log c or rec2020 colourspace)? Thank you!
this is so, so beautiful mate! may I ask how you're exposing your images? I want to buy this camera but I am reading that the FP's in-built exposure tools aren't reliable to monitor highlight clipping etc.
When you are shooting in DngRaw you can't see your image properly. It looks like a blown out mess, so I just leave a lot of room in the highlights and pray. It's almost like shooting 35mm film for me. I trust that when I do my cst in post that it will bring everything down in exposure. I like my image a bit underexposed. I also shoot in color mode off which helps with eyeing the exposure.
wow. shoots like a dream.😍😍
Looking beautiful man! The contax is stunning
Thanks Nate! Yeah just need to complete the set now
Stunning 🤩 😍

It seems like an opening scene to a movie

Thanks! I don't remember exactly what I did, but I am fairly sure I just used a color space transform to rec 709 and then added a davinci film lut

ok, thank you, that's what I thought! And are you mostly shooting ISO100 or 800 outdoors? Is there an ISO range that works best iyo?
@@maxchadwick1052
again, im just blown away by this footage. It looks like ARRI or something.
@@dylankitchener8350Thanks! I used the kodak film emulation in davinci resolve to get the deep colors and contrast
It’s looks sick man. How did you grade the fp footage?
Thanks! I didnt do much to the image, just a basic color space transform, davinci film lut and some primary adjustments
Hi Max, what is the second track you've used on this video?
Could you also tell us what LUT you've used? Thank you!
The song is called thomas levine - bridges. I did not use a lut, I graded it with davinci resolves internal tools.
@@maxchadwick1052 Thanks man!
are the footages shot handheld or on a gimbal? beautiful video btw. i'm looking for to pick up a used Sigma FP as my first run & gun cinema camera.
Thanks! Everything was shot handheld
Was this shot in 4K or hd?
4k
It looks stunning
