PLEASE PIN SO PEOPLE CAN SEE Tip: make sure your canvas size is square and make sure to invert the shape. These changes make a huge difference. Hope this helped.
I found the perfect method to do it. First, copy the monoline brush twice. Select the top one among the two and go to the properties of that brush. Now, increase the maximum size to 50% and the minimum size to 10%. Also, under the apple pencil section, tilt the angle to 45º. Now, you can go ahead and select the bottom duplicate and combine it with the upper one. In the combine mode, set it to subtract and head to the properties section of that brush. Increase the maximum size to 25% and the minimum size to 5%. And finally, click done. If you hold the pencil at a slight tilt, you will get the exact same results as in the video. Try it out. It worked for me.

@IanBanard i have two ✌🏾questions for you: 1.☝🏾what size is your canvas for this project? 2.✌🏾where do i find in my settings how to display the name of the icons (i.e. shape) in the brush settings??
Just got an iPad and Apple Pencil and this doesn’t even seem fun anymore. So much work to get one basic tool. Makes me so overwhelmed I just wanna set procreate to the side.
I dont know if anyone else is having an issue with the larger size showing up bumpy. If so, make sure to set “spacing” to “none” under the “stroke path” section. Hope this helps!
I’ve got the brush shape right but if try to add any streamline or stabilisation to help my writing it changes the offset of the subtracted part to the shadow part.. how can I fix this please?
Only thing about the brush is you can’t pick up the pencil and draw over the last marks you made without overlapping through them only good for cursive
I think I've found the solution, I made it so that spacing (under stroke path) for both brushes was set to 0%. It worked for me after that. Here's my settings in properties in case it doesn't work out still: Top brush: max 100%, min 39% Bottom brush: max 12%, min 5%
Ipad is expensive for me and I like do it so Is procreate for Android also? If no so which android app is like procreate in android for animation maker?
Procreate has a ton of gesture controls, I'd suggest looking up some tutorials to learn them all. But, having drawn a shape, keep your Apple Pencil held down for a moment until it automatically cleans the shape, if you are going for a regular shapw such as a circle or a square then also press down your finger on the screen to make the shape regular
Can I just ask. Like how tf does a person with no knowledge of the app brand new to it would even approach this application that seems like it just has loopholes that are never explained by the app. Leaving it to not using to its maximum.
The tutorials are good, but also play around with it. That's what I did when I got the app. I wanted it because I was following a crafter that did amazing designs. When I finally got it I was lost because I didn't know where to start. But made a decision one day to press every single word on that app and see what it did. That's how I learned. Still finding something new everyday, but that's the beauty of it. I love the app.

me watching all of this persons videos even though i have never done digital art, let alone own procreate:
It’s great but mine has dots when I try to do curved lines it gets dots, how can I fix it?
If you go to the tab on your brush menu that is called stroke path, you can bring down the bar that says spacing and that should fix it.
I tried this, and mine looks kinda bad, I’m gonna practice and try again though. It’s such a creative brush and helpful tutorial!
Thanks. It's worth familiarising yourself with the brush studio settings first to make it easier.
