Watch Sleepless In Seattle Now: AAN.SonyPicture...
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan star in Nora Ephron's wonderfully romantic comedy about two people drawn together by destiny. Hanks stars as Sam Baldwin, a widowed father who, thanks to the wiles of his worried son, becomes a reluctant guest on a radio call-in show. He's an instant hit with thousands of female listeners who deluge his Seattle home with letters of comfort. Meanwhile, inspired in equal parts by Sam's story and by classic Hollywood romance, writer Annie Reed (Ryan) becomes convinced that it's her destiny to meet Sam. There are just two problems: Annie's engaged to someone else and Sam doesn't know yet that they're made for each other. Co-starring Rosie O'Donnell, Rita Wilson and Rob Riener.
One of the greatest movies ever. Tom and Meg are...... magic.
That's the word. Magic.
I watched it maybe hundreds of times...and still do once in a while...
This movie brings back everything to me : my 20s, the girl friend in my 20s, my dream, my life in America which I dreamed of watching this movie and my mother who once watched this movie with me one night in 1994 but passed away 7 months from now.
@lettermines I'm sorry about your mother. It's a great movie. It holds lots of memories for me, too.
You've got Mail is also a fantastic movie , Meg and Tom were perfect together ,did they make any other movies or was it just tthhe two and if so I wonder why .
@cola_kidd1955 they did Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, and Joe vs The Volcano, which is a silly movie, but I love it. I believe those are the only ones they've done together, but I love them as an onscreen couple. They are magic!
I absolutely love this Movie! “My wife made everything beautiful” … Tears! 😭
In the german synchronisation he even says "Mit ihr war der Schnee immer ein bißchen weißer", which means "with her the snow was always a bit brighter". Got also in Tears hearing this.
how wonderful days were, you didnt have to make it vulgar or super complicated, just by pure acting skills, a simple movie can become a masterpiece. love it to bits
Facts!!! I still love this movie all these years later
this is so on point omg
And star power would almost always translate into something worth the profits
I'm right there with you no dirty jokes no gratuitous nudity just pure natural acting plus good chemistry between the actors
Tom Hanks is a fantastic actor. That's why his career is now 40 years and counting. In the young roles, in the mature roles, he always comes across with utter sincerity.
its one of my most favorite tom hanks classics.
@@KimChase-t6f Me too! I could watch the ending scene over and over! Sam takes Annie's hand. The camera zooms in and they know "it's magic" He loved her already and we knew a family had just been made! Incredible , natural acting, by Tom and Meg as always!
If A Man Called Otto proved one thing, he’s still got the old charm
Everyone fell in love with this man! Not just in the movie, but offscreen, too!
…and with Meg Ryan!
His ACTUAL wife was in the movie too (his best friend's wife)!
One of the best rom-coms of all time........Magic!
you really can tell a lot from a persons voice. you can hear love and compassion as well as empathy for others.
Ohh crap, I have to watch this movie ASAP.
Don't know why I've been crying the whole time I'm watching this scene.
I watched it maybe hundreds of times...and still do once in a while...
This movie brings back everything to me : my 20s, the girl friend then, my dream, my favorite genre of music that this movie let me know, my life in America which I dreamed of watching this movie and my mother who once watched this movie with me one night in 1994 but passed away 7 months from now.
This is one of the timeless movies that easily beat most movies nowadays with all the technologies and CG.
I’ve seen this movie 3 times and yet I see what you mean. Ever since lockdown in 2020, I’ve seen a mixed bag of movies either in theaters or on streaming.
I want to see Meg & Tom in a movie again❤️
They are in the film YOU'VE GOT MAIL
@@antoniosilvestro9045 and in "Joe and the volcano"
@@gargouenzene Joe vs The Volcano is one of the most underrated films ever!
It's fabulous! Magical! A deep love story ❤️
If you're a Meg Ryan fan, and a Tom Hanks fan, watch this quirky but deep & quirky, plus you get to see Meg Ryan play 3 separate roles! She was fantastic! Tom was his adorable sweet 'good man' and you never see him acting.
Brilliant film!
@@antoniosilvestro9045 Another one of their classics I could watch over and over! "I wanted it to be you" is my favorite line. Just love "You've Got Mail" as well. Once again super acting by Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
@@carolynhamilton9728 seen the film and it is a classic. Brilliant film
Such a great scene all the way around.
Her first name could be Doctor. 😂😂
@@nancydemoss2945 that part always cracks me up
Lost my mom one week ago came to this scene where Sam says “I had a great and perfect for awhile”❤
Just watched this 2 nights ago for probably the 50th time. ❤❤❤❤
"Friends are calling yoo-hoo ding-a-ling-a-ling! Horses horses horses horses..."
"My wish is to change the radio station"
Annie is me while driving lol
For sure it feels so real
Such a heartfelt movie
It was like coming home only to no home I'd ever known😂 Simple and beautiful!! One of the best movie lines ever in one of the best rom coms ever on screen!! One of my personal faves!!❤❤
It was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were supposed to be together .. and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home, only to no home I'd ever known. I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like .. magic.🥺♥️
These are the best lines in the movie.
@@WildNatureMedia I love the ending when Sam takes Annie's hand, and he feels the "magic" he had described on the phone, Then he gently swung her hand back and forth( as he done with his wife) as they walked to the elevator, and into their life together. I got chills!
@@katherinedoherty8823, great observation! Thanks for sharing this.
this is the best scene of ALL TIME!
Love this movie bring them back together they should do a part 2
They made a film called YOU'VE GOT MAIL
What would part 2 gonna be about? That they're in nursing home, one is suffering from Alzheimer and other from lose bladder?
Sequels seldom make the grade ,plus, ( to quote the entertainment business) it’s always better to leave them wanting more
They'd probably be divorced by now.
@@reckz420 LOL! 🤣 They're not THAT old. 😂
11 days before Xmas! I was born the same year this wonderful movie came out. And yet I discovered it in 2017! I’ve now seen it 3 times. And I find it hard to believe this is Anya listening to Woody on the radio.
Love this film
Me too. 👍
Just watched this movie today (the Italian dubbed version) and I really adore this scene, where Sam (portrayed by an amazing Tom Hanks) narrated his moments with his wife. Made me feel so emotional.
Man I remember this movie as a kid this movie hits home for me a lot because I lost my mother when I was 11 years old and it immediately put my father as a single parent in some aspects this movie is about my father and myself
Still remember the first time I saw this movie…magic.
Thank you for the reminder, UA-cam, of why I have cherished every performance of Meg Ryan through time...since I first enjoyed her on As the World Turns...
With gratitude,
judy h.
Just love this movie
They always have such great chemistry ❤️
Every time I hear "horses, horses, horses..." I think of this scene
This movie is amazing
Es una maravilla, romántica y no me canso de verla, ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
the quality of the dialogues... wow. when the writers chose words mindfully. nowadays is all action, CGI and s3x. films like this make me feel like there are still good movies.
SiS and YGM were both very charming movies.
I can’t choose between them
I miss Norah! I wish she could have gifted us with a few more films to watch over and over
Makes me cry everytime
Браво Tom Henks,🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
"DR. MARSHA!!"
My Comfort movie 🥲💝
I don't care for Tom Hanks or Meg Ryan but this movie is an all-time classic.
"if you are STILL under a cloud" Um...lady his wife died a year ago, it's still pretty fresh.....it's normal for him to be sad.
Dr. Marcia Fieldstone changed everything 😊
Meg Ryan gave us this film.
She also gave us Jack Quaid, so extra brownie points for that.
I'm here!
I'm sleepless in.... the mountain... Goodnight anyways.. This movie is really funny 😅
Some people were confused probably and thought she was driving through Washington State because the highway sign didn't have a D.C. and for the other sign, many people don't know that Anapolis is in Maryland.
Hearts and hearts and hearts and hearts. 😂
Saudades de Sintonia de amor, Harry e Sally, e outros bons filmes. Agora não há mais filmes assim.
Marsha Reminds me of "Delilah"
Wow! Someone recalls Delilah 😊
Or Dr.Laura
Horses, Horses, Horses!!! X3
The three minutes of mid-roll ads was just what this 9 minute scene needed
Exactly, almost deleted my account in rage 😂 fuc.... UA-cam
Brave browser FTW; haven't seen an ad in ages
meg ryan was beautiful back then
brilliant actor like Tom, Tom is the only actor alive to win 2 Oscars in 2 years, one year after the other which proves what an amazing awesome actor he is. He did it with Philadelphia and Forest Gump. The only other actor to win 2 Oscars in 2 years like Tom is the late Spencer Tracy.
She still is bud
@@bryansu5824 no not quite
She still is
I don't think Meg Ryan is beautiful anymore. She was in the 90s though
I love this movie. It is the closest thing I can have to love as I am one of the ugliest human beings living.
Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson, a top match!!
so many cords on those phones!
おもしろすぎ!
Cadê o filme completo??
Jack: I whisper: Shh...shh...yes, my heart, it's ✨magical✨.... hold me 'til the end of time, feels like home🫂💞💋
❤
Love this film. It oozes pure class.
She is still beautiful
Por favor si lo pones en castellano, gracias
❤❤❤
When our attention spans did not require nonstop action, profanity, or nudity.
This the kind of movie I have always preferred. I don't want action, profanity etc. Just heartfelt romance, some comedy and natural actors like Tom Hanks, and the brilliant pairing of these two! Movies that leave you feeling happy, and wanting more.
It’s only that way in the movies.
Sad but true
❤
Same romcom recipe like "message in a bootle" 😂
Did you mean *bottle?
what car does she drive
Fürchterlich kitschig und unerträglich romantisch. "Mit ihr war der Schnee irgendwie weißer." Ich liebe es! English Translation: It´s a totally kitschy and romantic movie - I love it desperately.
dr. Marsha Fieldstone was voiced by Caroline Aaron
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Love the movie, can we see full episodes know!? 🙏 please!?
3:15 Funny Part
This was such a cute movie - and I'm a guy! Saw it in the theater when it first came out (I was 22 I think). Have not been a big fan of Tom Hanks but he nailed this role. And Meg Ryan was wonderful as Annie. Bill Pullman is a good actor but his character of Walter is lame in this film.
This scene came together so well. The kid's obvious concern for his dad drove him to call and at first Sam (Hanks) didn't like the idea, he was a bit of a workaholic who threw himself into that role to try to make it through the aftermath of his wife's death. But he starts to open up a bit here, despite his 'threat' to break his kid's radio.

James Lyons Jimmy from two hands movie hi everyone 🇦🇺💫🌍🃏🌹 I actually love this movie been single for a while now 😂👍 I wonder if there is a women out there for me 😂👍🥰
Dr Marsha said "people loved once are likely to love again" but my ex fooled me into falling in love with her but she apparently never loved me really. So I don't count
My wife died almost 17 years ago. I was 43 and my son was 7. Tough times as in this movie. I had some relationships after her death but was full of anger. Then I met a fine woman of my age who wasn't married before. We lived together 4 years but my son and she had a conflict when he was 19. So she left. We stayed in touch having an informal relationship with lots of breakups. Two years ago my father died and my son moved to my mother to be with her, I mean to help her as much as he can while studying at university and having a part-time job. In January this year I caught the infamous virus that almost killed me. My girlfriend called me to her home where she took a great care of me before and after time spent at a hospital. She was so dedicated to me that I called her in April to live with me again. She accepted it with lots of joy. My son, who lives in the same city, still with my mother, comes to us off and on. I visit him and my mom frequently, my common law wife does from time to time. Well, I have no idea how my life with this lady is gonna end up but at least I try hard to live my life despite all these losses, failures and troubles.
My wish this christmas eve is to hold him tightly even if he had jonah
Old push button car radio presets. Very much analog world still. Everyone still using landlines. Not many cell phones yet.
ハリウッド…上手い!

My mummy dead, my father is 83 years old. I am ill. I would like to have my job. I would like to work till 65 years old.
That “You certainly can” is so patronizing.. lol
Oh, please...
That’s crazy they are old now
Old people can be in love too!!!! My guy and I are on year 53. Trust me, it can be done.
30 years really ages you when you're 30 something.
@@Nigelrathbone1When you’re 5 something, too.
What happens when you get to heaven and you have two wives then ????
I guess you have some explaining to do.
Well, you see. If you have two wives, then you are not in heaven. You are in that other place a lot further down.
@@theloneranger8725 lol, i don't they meant that person married two wives at the same time. like this movie might implied, what would tom hanks do when he reach after life, and meet both of his wife that he married at different time.
If in Heaven, you recognize the person who was your spouse on earth...but you're like great friends in Heaven...not a husband/wife type relationship. So IF say you were married and your spouse died, and you married again...and you all three went to Heaven...the three of you would be like great friends. There is no possessive nature in Heaven...no spousel bonds like on earth.
Not a problem any of us will actually have.
Well, at least he doesn't have to talk to a ball anymore.
Tom hadn't crashed in that plane yet when this came out.
In the movies why do actors glance at the radio when something grabs their attention? Like that will let them hear it better.
Because when the camera is shooting them thru the windshield they can’t look directly at the camera. And it’s right there in front of them. So when they move their eyes at all there’s this spot they can’t look at at all, and looking up at the roof of that car makes less sense than glancing down at something on the dash.
If Tom Hanks was 5'5", Meg Ryan would have said "Nope!" and headed for the elevator.

Gotta like those home-mobile-phones. "This is really fun [oops just take out the N & put CK]..& helpful". Hahahaha!! "...somone has loved once will love again..." oooh...get a dog.
Bitte in echt.Mein Papa sucht eine Frau.Sam ist heiß.
as the movie went on, did someone else felt Jonah went to look more and more like a midget instead of a kid? lol for real little one look like a midget
