    You give really concise explanations. I know many Filipinos/Filipinas and I was having a hard time getting my head around what they were talking about...this helped a lot. Thank you, Judy!

      Hi, I'm glad that by doing these lessons using UA-cam is a great way to teach and educate the people who have no-little knowledge of our language and culture. Feel free to dig my Bisaya Lesson playlist. Happy studying :)

    I was in Cebu city, Zambales, Batangas, and Angeles city last year(not for pokpok) and made a few trips through metro manila and to be honest, as I was watching this I'm remembering Las Vegas. I felt safer in the Philippines than I did in a city in the states. I also didn't try to draw attention to myself a lot of the time, only when I took off my sunglasses people looked at me differently.

      That's good to hear :) As long as people avoid being too flashy with their expensive belongings and knowing where and when to go to a specific place they'll be ok.

    Great video maestra. Very interesting cultural facts. I enjoyed some of the advice because it is exactly what my wife says when we travel to Lima Peru to visit her family. I don't like the custom of inviting everyone to eat your food! Dili, dili, dili....I don't share my food with anyone:) I will cut your hand off 😆

    I learned the history of why all Caucasians are called Joe. It dates back to world war 2 the Caucasian soldiers were referee to a G.I. Joe. So in the Philippines the name stuck with us 😀

    Please God help Cebu with a metro rail , and vehicles with emission control

    • @cebuano101
      @cebuano101  6 років тому

      Amen. We Filipinos not just Cebuanos badly want a huge change in the transportation system. Hopefully, with the upcoming bridge and implementation of the BRT System will lessen the traffic in Cebu. I also hate those vehicles with terrible smoke emission. There is actually a regulation/law in the past about this smoke emission. If I can remember it right it's under the Clean Air Act BUT the problem in the Philippine system is the implementation of laws and reg.

    Hi! Judy, thanks for everything, especially for your information. Here, I would like to ask you. Is it safe to hire a grab or uber? Perhaps you understand the situation in Cebu City more because you are Cebuano, right? By the way, how about the situation in Manila? Is grab and uber safe there. I believe, you at least understand some, even though you are a Cebuano

    • @cebuano101
      @cebuano101  6 років тому

      Hi Johnson, my pleasure. Generally, speaking they are all safe to use (cebu/manila). I prefer using them it because I have a record/ history. The cars are more cleaner, drivers are more polite and clean too. If I left something, It's really easy to call them back. The charging and payment is very convenient. No bidding with the price as some taxi drivers demand.
