In the time of Rome I think there was a guy named Maximus??? This is where we get the term maximum from! I heard he was unusually big/tall. Maybe these weapons were for larger people around that time??? The ancient writings do mention giants like Goliath. Perhaps the ancient world had larger people!? O.o

That moment when you accidentally discovered the spear of destiny, and realized only a few guarded Jesus, and this is enough for two officers, and a spearman with a short sword 😮

I want to ask somethings. What is the ideal 3 number for a great swords base on length, wide and thickness?

      Hi Bjorn!
Crazy! I didn't know that. Though the Jews being skilled at smithing and having to go to great lengths to hide these weapons makes it seem that they were truly outlawed from possessing weapons.

The Roman army basically contracted out all their equipment manufacturing to local workshops. Hence the huge difference in quality and metallurgy between Roman swords.
