Riding the Route of the Hiawatha | Rails to Trails bike ride in Idaho and Montana

- The Route of the Hiawatha bike trail is the most scenic mountain bike trail in the United States. A part of the Rails-to-Trails system of bike trails, the Route of the Hiawatha is in the National Hall of Fame when it comes to scenic trails - and I saw first hand why as I rode my mountain bike through Montana and into Idaho!
This bike ride is easily accessible, and more easily ridden - making it perfect for families and bike riders of all ages. Lookout Pass rents bikes, but you can also bring your own bike with you, and e-bikes are welcome too. Trail passes are sold at Lookout Ski Lodge and are required for any bikes on the trail.

Who is Nick Henderson, and what is NickGoesFar?! Originally from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, I have been traveling the world since I was 3 years old, and have lead a fairly uncommon life ever since. Now, I'm a commercial pilot flying in the United States, a full-time nomad and traveler. NickGoesFar was originally "The Roaming Pilot", a travel blog where I would share my adventures, tips on expat life, and photography. As I leapt headfirst into content creation, film making, and wanted to be able to share with more people - a change was needed, and after a few iterations I landed here. I am incredibly grateful that years of hard work allow me to continue doing something I love, seeing the world and immersing myself in it. 😊🎥🌎

Nice
It’s an awesome ride, super easy, and crazy scenic. How ya been buddy?
Looks awesome! It's going on the list!
Thanks for the video.
Absolutely! It’s a great ride!
Such a cool scenic trail. I've done a lot of trails on the east coast but not that much at west coast. Planning to do more west coast biking in the future. Thanks for sharing such a awesome trail. Absolutely beautiful area. Hoping to ride this trail in the future. 👍
It’s a great trail and the region is stunning, the east coast has some beautiful areas but I think you’ll find the PNW surprisingly epic.
Awesome area to bike. Beautiful.
It really is! 🎉 have you done this ride?
@@NickGoesFar I haven't but would love to
What a great video. It was a really good "intro to the Hiawatha". It answered a few questions that I had about the trail. I'll be driving up from Boise next June to ride the trail, up and back down again. I just made my reservation for a cabin in Avery this afternoon. It's going to be a really long wait this winter. 🥺
That should be a really great trip! You’re going to really enjoy this ride!
Take me next bike adventure!!!
Consider yourself signed up! ⬆️
