It's kind of nice to have the lady friend with you. It helps to "relax" anyone not familiar with the explination of operations of the small engine. You can hear her commenting and understanding along the way, just as anyone else would first time learning this stuff. This way you don't get the feeling the instructor is dumbing down stuff and directing it at you. Plus she's sooo damn cute.🤗 Keep up the good work!!🔧🔩
Attention for engine model: Honda, Tecumseh, Briggs/Stratton, etc. The TDC point is the same for all engine model but the set up gap valve clearence is different. 1/4" down piston more clockwise for Briggs/Stratton engine.
Gene, I have a Quantum engine that just quit on me while mowing. I've not been able to start it since. I also had to replace the recoil starter spring, cleaned the carb, changed the air filter, spark plug, and still doesn't start. When I pull the rope now all I get is three little pops. I have never heard that before.
Sure wsh you were in my area. I would like to learn more about these engines. Video was good. Just show more of what you are talking about. We couldn't see what you were discussing. Otherwise, great video. Thanks
Nice video!!! Can you tell if there is a method to determine condition of cam shaft and, especially decompression mech on it with no engine taking apart, please? Thank you
Hey My friend has a stihl bg86c. Leaf blower that's not running correctly at all. He's put new gas line &filter, air filter, new carb, checked all the head bolts for proper tightness, spark plug etc it won't rev up. Any bloody ideas mates????? TIA

can it shear enough to put the timing out, but not enough to be noticeable visually?
Thanks! Very informative and very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
So if that sheer mark on the bolt is off center with that notch, the engine is out of time?

Try removing the spark arrester from the muffler.
@@GeneLonergan William, did it work?
unless you have a Tecumseh without a timing mark on the crankshaft, and then go 180 degrees from the keyway and voila mark your timing mark
I love it when customers take an interest what needs to be done.. most of them say, including men just say I don't care I just want it fixed 🙄
