I don't care what nobody say.. marching band is just as much of a sport as the others. If cheerleading is a sport, then marching band is most definitely. I would like to see them memorize music, memorize drill, all while having good form and doing it correctly. I would like to see them throw flags and objects in the air and catch. There is dance in marching band so it is a sport! There is a lot of physicality!
This arrangement tries to do too much. It's like it was arranged for windband but then they realized they don't have bassoon, bass clarinet or 4 part french horns so they made low brass do everything. They have no break the entire song! 13 is kind of wimpy because the first trombone part is pretty important and not doubled anywhere but horns and altos sit on 10 measures of rest. Same melody is completely buried in the chord at 42. Can't even hear the WW arpeggios at the end so why bother? If I can't hear them in this arrangement, sure won't hear them on the field.
