Classic classic classic. Always brings your spirit up. Good reaction
I NEVER KNEW this was by them!!! I was 13 at the time! Thanks!
Gah, this song has everything. Amazing lyrics, back-up singers, lead guitar, BASS, and lots of tambourine!!! ❤️😊 (The bass is just 🔥).
Another Texas guy laying down that 70s sound that makes you want to be 16 again cruising down the road with the windows down, headed to the lake! Always great content my friend, much love from Texas!
Jam, man...I bet you'd be a hoot to hang out with at a concert. I love the way you groove on music.
This is one of those jams with a great message … we can all use. Peace to you!
RECORD FACT: The 45rpm single version of "Free Ride"
is a remix/edit. Guitars are raunchier, that bass breakdown has a fuzz tone, and "COME ON and take a free ride!" is shouted more than sung.
Right, the "gimmicky" version for people with a short attention span and an appetite for a dumbed-down synthesized dance beat... I'll take the real version.
Funny you say that I was looking through my old 45 collection and I've got one of the original copies from back in the day Rock and roll hoochie Koo that you had to go by the record store for
@@billlannan2078 British and Canadian vinyl 45s are nice. American West Coast vinyl is great. East Coast had polystyrene 45s (one play with bad needle gives them permanent distortion).
@@djhrecordhound4391 hey but hey I appreciate the info I'm going to have to check mine out and see if I can get some kind of Mark on it and find out where it was made yeah weren't them great big gigantic heavy needles and tonearm just great
@@MrJMS814 Don't get me wrong, I know what you mean, but I can enjoy them like CD bonus tracks following an album.
Really, those gimmicky versions made lots of songs famous in the first place. They also were good for mixtapes.
Great song from my youth! Now try a deeper cut like " Give it everything you got" by Edgar Winters White Trash, it was his first band and I promise you will not be disappointed.
I always thought it was Rick Derringer on guitar, But it was Ronnie Montrose and Dan Hartman on vocals.
guitarist and writer Dan Hartman also had a solo with "I Can Dream About You"
Dan passed way in 1994 from an AIDS related brain tumor.
I always thought this sounded like a Doobie Brothers song.
I have had the opportunity to work with Edgar a few times throughout the years. He is good peeps. Got shots of him on my Facebook.
Used to listen to this on the jukebox at a bar l used to frequently visit.Unfortunatly the place burned down before I turned of age. 😢
The best thing is when you got goosebumps.. I had them too!!😂❤️
I was 11 years old and this was the first album I ever bought. Yes an actual album, vinyl. Keep up the good work.
I don't know if you have yet, but look up Edgar and Johnny performing together. Freaking OUTSTANDING.
How many on here know that’s Dan Hartman on bass and vocals?
For those of you wondering “I Can Dream About You,” yep that guy.
Jamel, ya know man, I do believe that you are the funnest and best reactioner out there. Top of the hill. I would really dig shaking your hand and talking music with you... I've watched you for a while now and watch others...I like "Mr. V", I really dig him also, he seems to be a good person also wanting to hear good music as you do.... Stay safe, Hakuna Matata and have fun! Rock and roll baby!
This is way ,our generation were trying something different and looking at things differently and still having fun. Wow I am still have fun.
Excellent choice and wonderful reaction!
Great reaction to a great tune of a special era. Jamel, you're so good at this.
I've never seen Edgar Winter live. Fortunately I did get to see Johnny Winter live just a few years before he passed. So happy you like this one. Would you react to Frankenstein please?
