Don't you just LOVE these products that require you to "inquire" about the price instead of just listing it on the web site?!
Thanks for the comment. I've updated the video description with a shop link for 3DJake to get it directly. And you'll see the price immediately ;-)
great video.
great product, looking smooth.
thanks for sharing your experience with all of us 👍😀
I usually use dry shampoo spray, which has the same problem as the chalk, touching it wipe the spray off. You don't have to redo the whole scan, just the area that was messed up. Especially easy with photogrammetry, just take new pictures asked replace the messed up ones. I was recently sent some of this AE Sub spray, both the 4 hour and the 24 hour versions. I'll definitely try that.
Very cool indeed. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Press n Seal is a great alternative to tape as it also comes off pretty clean

Welcome 😊

Cool video! Using Plasti-Dip and then removing it with the removal spray alleviates the issues with chalk spray and can found anywhere. It's typically pretty cheap and can be pulled off like a sticker.
Usually plastidip is pretty shiny, so you'd probably want to do a light pass of fine grit sandpaper to roughen it up, but otherwise this could probably be a good solution.
@@EyeMCreative Just in case anyone is reading this, light coats of plastidip make it super rough and matte
I was very curious about this spray (and why it was so expensive) this video explains it all! But "disappear into thin air?" Not entirely sure I believe that. It must leave some type of residue on the object.
How do you dsvn the inside and outside of containers
Which 3d scanning software do you use in 2021 and which camera
If we cool these objects in a freezer and bring it out into the open air - condensation might help. Not sure how long the condensation last in warm weather.
I tried the chalk spray on plastic parts and the liquid in the spray made the "chalk" have little spots in it (like oil in water) and took forever to dry. If sprayed on cardboard it worked well but thats not too helpful haha. Looking for more options that arent quite as pricey as the Aesub.....
I wanna get some aesub asap
Try Attblime 3D scanning spray
Please tell me what software you use. I'm trying a historic motorcycle cylinder head (very complex). Neither with Meshroom nor with VisualSFM do I get such results :(
Equipment: Sony Alpha 7 R III, ring light, tripod, turntable, matte black background
The links won't take me to purchase links. However, in local shops here in Sweden the price ranges 35-48 €
Thanks for the hint. I've changed the link to point to the list of distributors and shops
I was wondering if you can use the spray on someone with black hair with no damage to the person
making hair in a 3d program is way easier than scanning someone's hair, scanning their face and adding hair later works just fine.
I've heard so use "Dry Hair Shampoo" as a spray; don''t know how good it is
This is actually a good suggestion to try out!
It probably reacts with oxygen, you could try to use a blower on it and see if it speeds up the clearing process.
Worth a try! How about we scan a car?
@@Crosslink3D ...i meant like a hairdryer, and a model car could be great, combine it with how you do your scanning and photogrammetry and i will definitely be looking out for that video...(had a few fails myself so a tutorial wouldn't be bad!)
How can we get some of the "aesub" spray here in America?
