They don't teach finance in schools. I was a mess in my 20s and 30s. I just found out what a High Yield Savings account was and signed up with Ally. I'm grateful that I did because my cash was earning nothing at chase. Love your videos and I feel more financially educated.
Thank you! I’m so happy you learned something new and made the change! Enjoy the extra money you earn!
My favorite UA-camr!!! Thank you
Wow, thanks!
I didn't become financially independent till I was 40 ,in addition to buying my second house, I'm also making money on a monthly basis through passive income, and I've also met some of my goals. I really hope this motivates someone to know that it doesn't matter if you don't have any of these things yet; no matter your age, you can start today. Investing can help you change your future! By participating in the financial market, I took a significant decision.
Wow, interesting indeed! Currently I'm in need of investment ideas or tips. Earlier this year I hesitated and failed to take any action until now. However, I'm determined to try some new as I am very open to various investment ideas . I want to be retired in my forties or fifties. I really wish I can achieve what you have achieved and I believe it will happen
I will take a look at Ally after your video. Thank you, it was useful.
Awesome! I hope you like them!
Love your videos! As a 30 year old just getting started, you explain things in such an accessible way.
So glad to hear that! Congrats on getting started!
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. I will make the change. 😊
Wonderful!
As always another helpful video 😊 By the way I currently have SoFi as my high-yield checking & savings accounts
That's great! Do you like them? I’ve not used them before this year!
Is it easy to transfer money out of sofi? If I wanted to transfer money to chase?
Great video but for everyone new do spend a little more than 5 minutes finding one. There’s a lot of things that weren’t mentioned such as some only give you the high interest if you have direct deposits or some have monthly fees, a lot of those bonuses have fine print, your taxed at the end of the year, Ettc… but regardless go create one as soon as you can is definitely worth it and sorry if I scared anyone away from them
All interest and bonuses are taxed but that’s not a reason to avoid making more on your money than with a standard account.
Thanks for the video, very informative. Keep it up, subscribed
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you for the info!! :)
Just curious, is there benefit in having more than one of these accounts or all the same to have all your eggs in one basket? Thanks!
Money makes the world go round.
Great video and great advice 👍🏻
Glad you liked it!
I've been with Ally for a bit too
They are great!
I have Barclays at 4.35%, which I've been happy with. Citi looks interesting though.
I use Capital One. I LOVE the multiple savings account option 😊
Me too!
Do they have same day transfers?
I am wondering the same about the same day transfers.
Capital one is one of the few High Yield savings/checkings accounts that let you setup a Zelle account. You can use this tool for instant transfers with no fees!
Hey ... these were all good tips to know@
😊
Good video and information.
Glad it was helpful!
My HYS Marcus by Goldman Sacs
Another good option is treasury bills. Currently paying about 5.3% and not state taxable so only have to pay federal taxes on the income.
Def!
Yes but your money is tied up in them for a specific period of time. I prefer the HYSA because I have access to my money when I need it.
My emergency fund is with CIT. I have no intention of using the money for anything (the point of an emergency fund), but it’s getting 5% anyways.
Do you like them? I've recently come across them more and they definitely have good rates.
I’ve had no issues. Takes a couple days to set up an account and I wouldn’t use them if I had under 5k, you can get better rates for smaller amounts.
I have zero loyalty though, tbh. I’d switch if someone else offered 5.5 (seems highly unlikely).
Transfers in have been no problem, haven’t had to transfer out, but I don’t know why it’d be a problem. They are also strict on double verification, which some might find annoying, but I like.
Evergreen 👏
Yassss!!!! I can send people here whenever they ask for recommendations on other videos. 🥰
I am with UFB Direct at 5.25%
Do you like it? I haven’t encountered them before but after browsing the website I need to add it to the list!
@PenniesNotPerfection So far I like them, I love the return I am getting.
@@danisheffield1204I just opened a savings account with them yesterday and will be trans savings there . I called and was told their Apr is 5.12%, is that interest deposit into the account monthly ? Are you happy with their support and wire transfer time ?
Thank you !
Your candle 🕯️ is too close to the wall and the blue thing. It’s making me nervous.
Hahah it’s not at all! But I can see how the perspective in video might make it look that way. Sorry you got so worried!
How come the SoFi $25 dollars bonus links me to M1?
I probably made a mistake! Whoops! Here is that link to sign up and you’ll get a $25 bonus and up to $300 when you set up direct deposit. www.sofi.com/invite/money?gcp=f965978d-e30d-4074-92da-a09ce979284f&isAliasGcp=false
